hi.. ;P im just startin' making some stuff and I´d like to know how can I copy and pastle the basslines I do on the pianno roll on fruity loops...
for example... i did a bassline and I want to copy and pastle it 8 times on the track... but when I copy and try to pastle on compass 2 it pastle on compass 1...
I tried so many things and I think is impossible to copy and pastle it along the track... do I have to draw the bassline into the whole music or I can pastle it???
sorry for bad english...

I think first it's a good idea to study the manual of fruity. something essential like this likely is explained in detail.
Or you could simply head to the fruity homepage and read the FAQ.
Lots of ways to learn. Check out the buzzplugin loader of fruity btw.

GuhLima i have the same problem as you , all the patterns copy and paste get inserted from the beginning instead of afterward eachother.
Wish someone could help us im also tired of drawing
patterns one by one when you want to complete a song of 10 minutes.

try this...
hold control key and select the squares you want to copy. (it marks them in red)
then hold shift, and catch the selection and see what happens.
works the same in the piano roll.
does it helps ?
the copy / paste function is really not the best way i think, i never use it.
like said above, try to open the html help and read some stuffs about the playlist.. the way is well explained.
and on the official website www.fruityloops.com there are many videos very interesting. and i believe one especially about the way to use the piano roll and the playlist.
there are all the features needed to copy everythings without the need to draw it click by click.

Correct! that's the way to work in fruity, you move things around in no time,u'll only get frustrated otherwise.
Altough you can also use edit -> copy/paste (ctrl -c / ctrl-v) on the selected playlist patterns or notes in the piano roll. It's almost the same thing.
The patterns get inserted in the begining (in the second visble playlist column actually)though , so just move the playlist to the point where you want to paste ...
cheers

fruity LOOPS
the most easy way is not to copy but if realy u want the same bassline so just make short version and place loop on the playlist

cool if it solved the matter
one more necessary shortcut if you don't know it, select a pattern (just click on its name on the left of the playlist) and ctrl+shift+c --> to clone it.
i'm not sure if it's in the help, but i saw once a list of all FL shortcuts, should not be difficult to find.
ok, this is an xtra "probably unsuseful" post .. but if the moderators doesn't delete this one, it's a step to reach the same posts amount as tsabeat

Sound Surgeon, i think you can use FL Studio v5, your pc is almost like mine... it depends if you are pacient or not too
But more ram will always help. |
