How good the quality of a song produced in this program can get quality (Fl)? Is there a way of improving it? or do you guys think that to produce better music you need a better software such as logic, and a combination sound forge and others....
let me know what you think...
thank you

well, fruity is very good to get you started. fruity 3.3 has some very cool new features and the sound quality is much improved.
however, for pro results, go for the big leagues - protools, cubase, logic, soundforge etc.

ooopss....
i see i didn't really answred ....
well u can make your samples with sound fourge and use
fruy as a sequencer ....
it's comftable and very very fun ....
off course u can use cubase as sequencer - it's got great fx
on audio , alto it takes some time 2 understand it .....
do u use any "real" synth ?
or u computer base guy ? ? ( note : talamasca is a computer
base 2 ...... ;} )
have fun man !!!

The quality of the FLP is quite good after they improved the sound machine and installed into the program the ASIO - that 'talks' to your sound card better then the usual way. you can build very good loops with it :)
The way to improve the sound is to move the FLP track to Cubase. then you can make better sound and a better final mix , but that a big work to do. instead , when you are ready to make quality music (not learning) switch to Cubase and build you track there.

sumerize : FLP for learning making music , when you will be ready leave FLP for making loops , switch to a better sequencer like Cubase and edit wavs on SoundForge or Wavelab.

goodluck !

A is for America,
B is for BULLSHIT!
Come on, fellaz, the fact you didn't managed producing good trax with Fruity dosn't make your Cubase / Logic a PRO software in a comparison to fruity. I've made / heard trax that people really liked, soundwise, productionwise bla bla its all a matter of Soundcard + CPU, the more effects you put on a channel the better it'll sound in the mastermix - If I'll use 20 samples, I'll make sure atleast 10 - 15 aren't on the same EQ, I ASSURE YOU DIOGO - STAY WITH FRUITY.
After all, it's JASON and LEO who are answering you, and its THEIR opinions.
are Jason or Leo considered pros??? I dont know, but I can tell you this for sure - THE FACT THE USE CUBASE / LOGIC MAKES THEM THINK THEY ARE.
Peace.

Cubase works on ASIO and VST.
Fruity works on ASIO and VST.

Same sound engine, same sounds. If you put the same plugin and same effects on both programs it will sound exactly the same.

The SOUND in Cubase is BETTER then in Flp !!!
That's a fact , till someone prove me wrong.

for example take the prices of thos 2 wonderful soft. fruity cost 100$ Cubase cost at least 450$

Thats a fact !!!

I love the gui in flp , if fruity will put an final EQ and all other sort of improvements then i will prefer fruity for playing , but Cubase tops flp :)

The problem is that when you export your track (FL)
the software passes the tracks through some bizzar
filter that makes the sound worse then it should be!

yes , that was a big problem untill the 3.3 version (asio)
before the asio u export wav and put it on s.forge then u could see the swist in the wav but now the asio improves the sound of wav.

btw : it is very important to have a good s.card so the wavs will be crystal clear :)

Optimus, dear. I have nothing against fruity. actually, it's my main tool of work these days. I like working with it alot.

alas, the amount of effects you spread on a channel does NOT make it sound better, especially if you mix them all wrong.
secondly, Cubase has the Ability to mix, punch, and master all in the same program. fruity, to this date, does not have this ability, and in that it flaws in comparison. i do NOT Consider myself a pro. it IS my opinion. you can differ or defer it. if you can't accept the fact that i am trying to help ppl with my opinions, well, Tough.

Dear Optimystique....you take it too personally.
if you want to measure what you are trying to proove here, simply do this:
take a 24bit/96khz sample (recorded synth or something like this)
and insert it in the latest FL.
play with the mixer, whatever, and then export it, and analyze it with oscilloscope. -
measure the SNR, measure other frequency details.
and the most important, listen to it comparing to the original sample.

after doing so, try doing it in Cubase,
and then in Logic.
[i assume you have a 24bit/96khz capable card and an oscilloscope/software oscilloscope for measurments]

if your case states truth, you will be able to have at least the same sound with the same SNR.

nothing personal, no distracted opinions, just numbers talk.

will this convince you that you don't have the full control in FL ?
