Fruity loops 3 questions

I'm trying to figure out how to play a sample and then interupt that sample, making in it start from the beginning of the sample again instead of just overlapping itself. It's difficult for me to explain. If you know what I'm talking about please help me out. Thanks |

Don't know about fruity loops but I know that on my synth I set the release time to zero and just use short samples. |

tou can try extending the measure to 64 notes instead of 16. that way the overlapping might stop :-) |

1. click on the (loaded) sample to bring up channel settings
2. click "misc"
3. click "cut itself"
Voila! just 3 clicks and the sample retriggers |

hey liron,
the file transfer won't work. you should get an email account with someone else who will accept larger file attachments. the file is around 7 megs compressed. email me if you have any questions. |

Use splitfile.
divide the file (uncompressed) to six or seven files (say 1.44 megs each) and send them separetly.
it's a tad long, but files do get accross.
you should also consider putting up an I-drive or another online hard disk.

Hey if we talk 'bout FL3. Someone knows how to record pattern changes, in FL2 it works with no problems but with FL3 i start recording the pattern, applying the changes live and it stucks after the 1st bar ends.
It drives me nuts.
BTW anyone has the manual? |

Automation in Floops 3 is quite complexed, Brain, I've been in your situation for a long time till I got the hang of it. Fruityloops 3 is based on Automation-Pattern, meaning you create ONE / TWO / howmuch you'd like patterns, and draw only ONE square of them at the start of the playlist.
make sure that pattern in HIGHLIGHTED in the playlist, play the track, make sure the RECORD button is on... and there you go. remember, you cant AUTOMATE EVENTS on a drumpattern / basspattern whatever... it'll fuck it up for you. make a NEW, CLEAR, CLEAN pattern, make sure its the Highlighted one, and edit its events.

I was stuck in this automation sh*t for at least a week!!
and when I found out how to do it I jumped out of the window here out of happiness!
..and then it took me another week to recover.. :)
anyhow, just use a different pattern for recording the automation of the same tool and there'ya go. it won't repeat itself!
even sounded logic why it repeated itself but very NOT user friendly to figure it out by yourself..

My patterns are not looping, and its annoying me cos its never happened before.
is there some feature i need to check??
i mean i've tried the 'cut itself' option a few times but it still refuses to loop. Anybody can help please?
