Can someone please help me create good basslines with fruity.
I'm very new to this music making business and i have the FL Studio package and not the Producer version. Didn't have a lot of money then. will invest soon
I think the only thing in there which i can use to make basslines is the TS404. or are there more?

Any tips from fruity professionals?

Thank you all for your time and help.

Nice SOAD signature

Try Vb-1 and Tau i think both of them are free to download but i will advice you search for tool which have more native procces units aka filter , signal proccesors .

With every instrument u can create bass , for example snare , cut all high - mid and high frequencies and boost the lower onces ......

First you need to decide what kind of baseline you want to produce , find artist with baseline you like |||for example i like Timo Maas style coz it is natural sounding bass|||

So i do make these cheesy instruments to sound like real BASS .

tools i use : Filter&EQ (some instruments will have it onboard so search for them coz it better to use native filter than external one soon u will discover why ) .

I Filter out all i don't need and then use EQ for cleaner results

Compressor : After signal filtered i use Compressor to make it distorted , kinda more natural sounding than PC tools , but once again original distortion and not too much of it like Kate Mosh done (listen to their music)

Then i put Basedrum and Baseline on same channel
(Fruity Pro , FX menu , buttom you will see "in and out" so pull menu , send fx channel 4(kick) and fx channel 5(bass) to fx channel 6(kick and bass) there (an example) .

there i do filter once again to make kick and bass fit together and create some harmonics between them but High end(High Q) Equalizing .

I hope you will find anything fit for you here .

hey mate in my fruity time .. TS404 .in bass was awesome .. i very sorry that nobody have have a VST from it ... because if it would exist one .. i would use it for sure ..
and u dont need all this hulshits they say here .. cuts and filters and blalalalalalalal ....

simple EQ .. 2 phat EQ ... and is enough ... then the modulation is what MATHER in this case ... get the best modulation u can with the vst .. try to shape all the noise , and when u get the bass u whant .. EQ is just to pull im up and give defenition ...

so try this , i was used to know one page with some nice detais for who whant to start to make nice bass .. but ive lost this web page eheh

so the key is .. try and try until u get the right bass for u ... not the bass from the ideas from the outher .. only YOUR bass_:P

good luck .. and practice a lot

well if your using fruity which is a sample based program try finding some good sample of bass write a little pattern with kick and start playing.

use different ch. for each one and add some eq or dist and tweak the wave form.....

still you said you're new at this           <One learns people through the heart, not the eyes or the intellect>

What a BS. Fruityloops is not more or less sample based as any other sequencer.
But it is always a good idea to sample the bass, also if u do it with synth first.

mmm weird i never ! use wav for basses... just vst... and fruity is not sample base program... u can add vst and just play with keyboard and record...

good bassline for fruity only:

open boobass
add to him a bit bass boost
when u write use the pitch slide in piano roll
this will give u feel of fretless bass guitar
as long u dont tend to do tagadagatagadaga bassline....
