Looks promising, i think that the one thing that stands in the way of FL to become really powerfull software is descent Sequencer. And maybe add some polyphony to TS404. Is that so much to ask?

chill man, fruity is a real software, albeit a limited one, but a usefull tool all the same.

It's like a "groovebox" compared to hardware ,
if u can do great trackz with "fast tracker"
u can make music on everything .
Btw, i know some people who use cubase
and they don't even know what is "mixermap" or how to use SysEx messages .
Anyway i think is better to learn good some
professional program like cubase, logic or protools.
And if yo know ALL the possibilities and keyboard shortcuts of the program u choose - go ahead ,
making music became much more ez.
This is what we call "professionality" .
Some people like to fill up their hardrive with
all existing softwarez , pluginz , and stuff 
Keep it simple .

Jason, what u are forgetting is that 3.5 will be used as a VSTi, and u can open it in Cubase and work with it.
So after all, it's a great tool - but I agree it's kinda hard to be a whole DAW.
