Hello Guys,
some time ago i was all into Hardware, did not want to know anything about Software.
Except of Ableton Live, i recorded my Music in Live8.
I liked the way of workflow on Hardware but i felt limited in the way of Sequencing / arranging.
I know that this specific limitations are not existent when working in Live.
So i bought Live 9 and tried some VST Demos on my Macbook Pro.
I tried:
Rob Papen : Predator, SubBoomBass, Punch and Blade.
I think all of them are great, don´t know if i really need SubBoomBass when i buy Predator...
Cakewalk Z3TA+ 2 - i like it too
UH-E - Zebra 2 - great, but hungry for Systemperformance
Synapse Audio - Dune / i find it real similar to my Virus TI (which is still part of my setup)
Absynth - great.
I´am running a 64 Bit Version of Ableton Live so i only could use Sylenth and Vanguard via JBridge. I bought JBridge allready but i dont know how stable it is.
So could anyone help me making my decisions?
I´m on a Macbook Pro i7, 8GB Ram and 2,8GH Dualcore.
What do you think of NI Complete?

Ni komplete is really good package , great for the price when it s on sale ,you could need just this and learn it inside out
all the synths you listed are good..really matter of tastes , i suggest uhe ace and diva and ni stuff.. lot to do already with this
i really like dcam synthsquad but the interface might turn you off and not sure it s 64 bit but great va sound
if you want virus style sound spire seems like good choice from what i have read on kvr |

why not focus on sequencing instead of vst's, at the end you will end up with the same issue. get an ipad or a hw seq. or use a seq.-vst.
you can use the arpeggiator of the ti to have it sendout midi. wondering what hardware you use. arranging has nothing to do with hard or soft, you do it in your daw.

My actual (not until now sold) Hardware is a Virus b, Virus TI kb, Dave Smith Instruments Evolver and a Novation KS. I will use this Hardware for sure.
But it is still much easier to carry VST´s with me for a gig than Hardware... Thats the Reason.
I know i can sample the selfmade Sounds from my Hardware to my DAW, but i can't interact with the sound than... |

Thank you for those Tipps...
I made a mistake in the description of my Macbook. Its 2,9GhZ.
And i upgraded my RAM to 16 GB, so this should be a capable Machine
I bought Zebra till now and i´m thinking about
Omnisphere. Surge really turns me on.
Kaivo will be a nice Synth too...
Plugin Boutique sells Rob Papen BLUE with a Discount abou 40%.
Anyone tried BLUE? |
