I frankly don't got an answer to any of your questions basically becuase I use them both!So you don't really have to make the switch.Just choose the best way to combine the two (VSTi,ReWire,import/exprot,...).           ===>

Hi, i'm not sure how hard it is to switch from fruity to cubase. But i switched from Reason to Cubase SX a while ago and it was really frustrating in the beginning. It's like learning to ride a bike again, while sitting in the opposite direction with your arms crossed. I'm really glad i made the switch though: a better sound, More control and loads of other good stuff. So yeah, it's probably very annoying, but worth the trouble.

"im all good with it but i think i can get better sounds on the cubase sx."

I believe it too, the fruity imo is fun and everything but it feels somehow not perfect to suit your inspiration needs as fast and easy as cubase or logic,

anyway i switched from FL few years ago into cubase 5 which was very different and sometimes frustrating but after you get use to it you can't see yourself again inside fruityloops at least that was my situation, anyway about half a year ago i switched from v5 to SX which was another total change and then after to SX2 which is now perfectly suits my needs.

So i think that it's defintally worth the change and i'm kindly suggesting you to do so.
also some integrated features like time stretch, good audio editing and such which i think not exist in fruity can make your creation process much easier,

i hope it helped,

cubase is definitely good. but i downgraded from reason to fruity because i wanted some change! so maybe it is good to make the switch just to have some change and inspiration to flow! cheers

I use Fl for making loops and beats. Because it's more easy, beside Cubase. But the playlist i Fl stinks. It's to confusing and to many bugs

Cubase is exelent for making long phrases and get a howl nummer finised.

alloedee - i agree about the FL playlist! its a hazzle to arrange and get a flow.. but there are accutaly people that work in different ways, like compose straight from the pianoroll... but that also sounds like a hazzle, for me at least... anyway lots of great music is done with FL...

you use what you like!

though its damn sad that someone always has to defend their host! Like there wasnt other things to do... why defend a app, trust your self! sometimes people sound so insecure when they start to defend stuff... let all those bastards that want to rack down on something do it, dont feed them.. they are probably insecure them selfs...

anyway cubase suites me better, thats what i started with and thats where im staying...
though i also playaround in FL and i have great fun.. and its very few bugs,, maybe you should try a new version?

Cheers and laters!
