Wow! What can I say...X-Dream rocked most of the time. Not a big fan of vocal stuff but that wasn't bad either. They even played some old classics from Radio which was a highlight for me. It's like a dream come true. It's still one of my all time favorite albums. I also enjoyed a dj set before X-Dream. A few tracks were insane! I had to leave in the middle of SUN Project set. Now I'm watching the rest of it live on di.fm. Only in New York indeed

First of all, what a fantastic set by Sun Project. An absolutely unique sound combining the best of rock and psychedelic trance. Thank you so much.

And now to X-Dream...the most disgusting sound I have ever had the misfortune to listen to. There wasn't a trace of anything psychedelic. Depressing, militaristic noise which cast a dark shadow over the whole club. Perhaps better described as anti-music, with no melodies and no harmonies, it simply sucked the life out of the whole place. Looking at the dance floor from the balcony there was no coherence in the crowd. In fact, it looked as if a group of inmates from a psychiatric ward had escaped en-masse and descended on Spirit, all dancing to the individual, insane messages in their heads. The only people who looked as if they were enjoying this were the "artists" themselves.

The most embarrassing part of all was that not only were they allowed to finish their set without being dragged off the stage and thrown into the street, but that at one point some people seemed to be asking for more.

I still don't understand how these people were allowed to get away with playing that harsh, military, fascist sound. It has no place at a psychedelic trance party, or even at any musical event. It is totally contrary to the whole spirit of music itself. In fact, this crap should really be banned.

Maybe some of you will say that X-Dream have a long history of producing trance, blah, blah, blah... but I really don't give a shit. I am talking about what I heard of Friday, nothing else is relevant. It is actually insulting to be expected to listen to that nazi crap.

X-Dream, your "music" cannot, in any way, be classified as psychedelic trance. However, if a trance label for this is needed, then perhaps "nazi-trance" would be the most accurate. All that was missing was a crowd of screaming skinheads.

All I can say to you is X-DReam, X-human, fuck yourself!!!!!

I am still angry, angry, angry...how dare they play that sort of garbage in public. What does this say about us all, that we would sit there and put up with this?

if you didn't like the x-dream that is your view and I respect it fully. however, I personally do like the x-dream sound and have been listened to them since the radio album, i enjoyed their new we interface as well. but, I think the key word here is respect

Personally I think its cool to explore that cold, metallic sound. Its not what I like all the time but I definatly dont mind it every once in a while. It is my feeling that anything that can cause a response as strong as Sosets has to have something too it... the only music I cant stand is that which doesnt make me feel anything.
For myself, I wasnt a fan of the vocals either, I didnt like how the spotlight was on Ariella, I dont think spotlighting people is what this music is about. I think it's cool that there's a woman being involved in a major trance act, but it would be more politically correct if she would work in the shadows like everybody else and not be spotlighted as the center of attention.

WTF? How dare you say such disrespectful things about X-Dream? They have their own style, a bit dark though, which all of the people in Spirit found interesting and moving. I guarantee that everyone had a good time during their act. SUN Project were good as well. They are actually one of my favorite acts.

"Depressing, militaristic noise which cast a dark shadow over the whole club."

WHAT? You got the wrong people. You've mistaken them for Parasense!

"fact, this crap should really be banned"

EVERYONE...EVERY O N E in Spirit enjoyed their act and I think that you trully SUCK!!!

Anyway, the ones who were there, I am looking for the name of the track that X Dream played after they left the stage, while SUN were preparing to play...you remember? The guy with the glasses(Marcus?) climbed upstairs in the DJ booth and he played for like 20-30 minutes. Well, he played this track with this thick humming pad that reminded me of a deep vocal. The bassline of the track was something like "Out Of Control" by the Chemical Brothers. The name of the track, anyone?

Isn't that something a nazi would say? Hopefully the day will come and you'll find out about tolerance and respect. For now at least learn how to express your opinion without offending others. Good luck.

"WTF? How dare you say such disrespectful things about X-Dream?"

WTF are you talking about? To say that I was misfotunate enough to listen to that crap, was that disrespectful? Or, do you mean that I shouldn't criticise them because they are the famous X-Dream? Let me tell you what's disrespectful...to come to a psytrance party and play nazi rubbish. Don't get me wrong, they can play it wherever it belongs, but it didn't belong at that party on Friday.

"WHAT? You got the wrong people. You've mistaken them for Parasense!"

By the way, Parasense, in contrast to X-Dream, DO play psychedelic music! Perhaps you should educate yourself and listen to some of the nazi shit, and then you would see what I mean. Of course, you have the right to like it, but I also have the right to hate it.

"EVERYONE...EVERY O N E in Spirit enjoyed their act and I think that you trully SUCK!!!"

A stupid generalisation...stupid since I obviously didn't enjoy it, and I know I wasn't the only one. You truly suck!!!

It's people like you who allow the fascists in this world to get away with their actions. Hopefully the day will come when you find out about the proper place for tolerance and respect. Get lost.

i don't understand all this talk about nazi trance.
is it because they are german?
if so, that is quite a generalization.
i'm pretty sure the nazis didn't listen to music like x-dream.
agree with dj_420 - RESPECT.
