WHAT TO EXPECT:
Expect a night full of some of the world's most cutting edge electronic dance music. Your ears will be guided by some of the most dedicated professionals in the Southern California electronic music and dance scene. These individuals have been hand selected for their tireless efforts in bringing the most modern electric sounds from around the globe to the Southern California Electronic Music and Dance scene; and now to YOUR ears, for your aural enjoyment!
The goal of PULSAR is to regularly bring together an eclectic mix of different, yet equally modern electronic dance music styles, into a united environment where many styles can be discovered, thrive, and be appreciated. In each edition of PULSAR, one can expect new and exciting sets from PULSAR residents; along with rotating guest DJ spots from the most promising up and coming, as well as long established DJ's in the scene.
In our fourth edition, we will be welcoming MASTER WONG, who will be opening the night with some progressive, techno, and house. Next, PULSAR resident, ST.BLACK will take the decks, shifting the mood into some deeper progressive, techno, and trance. Following this, the tempo will begin to rise. PULSAR resident KAHN will take the decks, starting out deep, techie, and progressive; then gradually moving into the sounds of modern Progressive and Full-On Psychedelic Trance. Next PULSAR will welcome a Southern California legend, Matthias Beeguer aka SUNBYTE. When SUNBYTE steps behind the decks, the dancer can always count on a transcendent experience, being constantly uplifted, constantly engaged, being taken to higher levels of pure love energy consciousness at each and every turn during his sets. As the vibe reaches "peak energy" we will transition yet again, as we welcome the last, but potentially the most exciting act of the night. PULSAR will welcome its first LIVE ACT to date! CHIRAL, also one half of the famed upcoming Psytrance act BOOMSLANG (alongside fellow California native META - Together they premiered their act on the lineup of the famed 'GEMINI' festival earlier this Summer), will bring us a set consisting of nearly ALL his own originally produced tracks! CHIRAL describes his style as a mix of various styles of "Morning Psychedelic Trance" with a harder "Psychedelic edge." Starting at 1AM, CHIRAL will bring us a showcase of the music he has produced himself, as well as collaborative tracks he has produced alongside others. Following this artist showcase, CHIRAL will play a short DJ-set consisting of his favorite tracks produced by his close friends and fellow artists. This closing set is sure to be filled with driving, deep, twisted, psychedelic energy; while maintaining a fun, groovy, and sublime feel throughout. The energy will continue to build well through closing, leaving dancers wondering when the next PULSAR will be held!

And on behalf of the PULSAR team, we would like to thank each and every person who made it out to any of the first three PULSAR events, and made them such unforgettable nights. These events have been filled with positive vibes, and certainly mark the beginning of something wonderful and long lasting!
ART/VISUALS:
At PULSAR we strive to create a fun, comfortable, energetic, and psychedelic environment for our dancers/patrons. With our limited pool of personal resources, we have a small collection of black lights, wall hangings, and other miscellaneous pieces of decor. This is of course in addition to all of the sound equipment we are already bringing. As time draws on we will be making an effort to continually enhance the visual experience of our PULSAR events. Surely if our donations amount to a good sum, a portion of this could be put back into lighting/art/decor including: additional black lights, wall hangings, additional lighting, etc..
Of course we are well aware that in our community there are many artists, and others just waiting to express their hidden talents. That is why, in an effort to help the local art community, as well as to enhance the vibes of our already fantastic PULSAR events, we welcome artists professional, casual, or anything in between, who would like to contribute to the visual appeal of our events, and put their work out on display. Of course you are responsible for your artwork. I cannot guarantee the safety of your art pieces due to obvious circumstances created between dancers, beverages, and everything else. I am willing to work with you, to figure out the correct placement, or any other details to make this work better for you. In addition, if you get in touch with me far enough ahead of time, I would be glad to include your art exhibit on the flier!
And of course non-artists, if you have any pieces of decor, especially psychedelic decor that is black light reactive, such as tapestries, posters, statues, incense burners, or anything else, we would love for you to bring it to add the the collective ambiance of the room.
