Join us for PULSAR V.12!!!
This will be the second Pulsar of our 2nd year of production, and the second edition of Pulsar to be held at our new venue, LUXY 101 in the city of Industry/Los Angeles!

WHAT TO EXPECT:
Expect a night full of some of the world's most cutting edge electronic dance music. Your ears will be guided by some of the most dedicated professionals in the Southern California electronic music and dance scene. These individuals have been hand selected for their tireless efforts in bringing the most modern electric sounds from around the globe to the Southern California Electronic Music and Dance scene; and now to YOUR ears, for your aural enjoyment!
The goal of PULSAR is to regularly bring together an eclectic mix of different, yet equally modern electronic dance music styles, into a united environment where many styles can be discovered, thrive, and be appreciated. In each edition of PULSAR, one can expect new and exciting sets from PULSAR residents; along with rotating guest DJ spots from the most promising up and coming, as well as long established DJ's in the scene.
To open the night, Pulsar resident/organizer ST BLACK will play us a mix of his signature blend of PROGRESSIVE TECHNO with TRANCE overtones! Moving later, Pulsar is happy to welcome a legend of the Southern California underground dance music scene, FREEMAN. Shawn, a long-standing resident of UNDERGROUND SOUND, is revered throughout the underground circuit as one of LA's most talented and experienced DJ's. His unique mixing style, and ability to combine multiple genres have earned him this reputation. On this night, Shawn will be playing a mix of PROGRESSIVE BREAKBEAT, a first for Pulsar! Next up, Pulsar resident/organizer KAHN will take the decks! On this night, KAHN will be bridging the gap between Freeman's breakbeat set, and the harder psychedelic trance later on the lineup. This will be a set starting with PROGRESSIVE PSYCHEDELIC TRANCE, moving into FULL-ON and harder PSYTRANCE. As the night progresses, Pulsar is happy to welcome back SCENATOR. Aumi is no stranger to Pulsar, and has been a long standing resident with California's own PSYTRIBE. On this night Aumi will be playing a set of his signature blend of PSYCHEDELIC TRANCE, ranging from FULL-ON through NIGHT PSYTRANCE vibes. Scenator is famous for taking the dancer on a journey through his sets. As the hour draws later, the final DJ of the night will take the decks. Pulsar is very happy to welcome back a legend of the Southern California psychedelic and goa trance music scene, SPYROS. As one of the founding members of PSYTRIBE (along with Andy Barakuda), Spyros has been a key element in the development of California Psychedelic music scene. More recently, Spyros also founded CALIPHONIC RECORDS based in Southern California. Spyros is well known for his ability to play almost any timeslot, covering almost every corner of psychedelic music. On this night, Spyros will be playing a set of PSYCHEDELIC TRANCE ranging from PSYCHEDELIC FULL-ON through harder PSYTRANCE. The energy will continue to build well through closing, leaving dancers wondering when the next PULSAR will be held!
So we hope you will join us for PULSAR V.12! You will be TRULY happy that you did!
And on behalf of the PULSAR team, we would like to thank each and every person who made it out to any or all of the first eleven Pulsar events we have held so far; making all of them such unforgettable nights! These events have been filled with positive energy, love, support, amazingly friendly vibes, and have certainly bestowed a purpose on the PULSAR organizers to continue organizing these events for the sake of the dancers! You all make this possible, and we wouldn't be able to do this without your support! We do this for you, the electronic dance community!
We would also like to send a special thank you to STUBBY'S BAR for hosting Pulsar during our first year. None of us will forget all the awesome times we have had there, and the owners and staff of Stubby's bar will always have our gratitude and support. As time progresses, new opportunities present themselves. We now have the opportunity to try a new venue. This Pulsar will be held at a new location nearby to Stubby's, but a bit closer to Los Angeles. This will be a trial run for the new location, and of course we welcome feedback from all attendees and organizers alike!
ART/VISUALS:
At PULSAR we strive to create a fun, comfortable, energetic, and psychedelic environment for our dancers/patrons. With our limited pool of personal resources, we have a small collection of lights/black lights, wall hangings, and other miscellaneous pieces of decor. This is of course in addition to all of the sound equipment we are already bringing. We are always making an effort to enhance the visual experience of our PULSAR events, such that they only improve as time progresses. A large chunk of any donations we receive go towards Art/Visuals.
Of course we are well aware that in our community there are many artists, and others just waiting to express their hidden talents. That is why, in an effort to help the local art community, as well as to enhance the vibes of our already fantastic PULSAR events, we welcome artists professional, casual, or anything in between, who would like to contribute to the visual appeal of our events, and put their work out on display. Of course you are responsible for your artwork. I cannot guarantee the safety of your art pieces due to obvious circumstances created between dancers, beverages, and everything else. I am willing to work with you, to figure out the correct placement, or any other details to make this work better for you. In addition, if you get in touch with me far enough ahead of time, I would be glad to include your art exhibit on the flier!
And of course non-artists, if you have any pieces of decor or lighting, especially psychedelic decor that is black light reactive, such as tapestries, posters, statues, incense burners, or anything else, we would love for you to bring it to add the the collective ambiance of the room. **Directions**
Exit Fullerton Rd. off of CA-60. From 60 East make a LEFT onto Fullerton Rd. From 60 West, make a RIGHT onto Fullerton Rd. Once you are on Fullerton Rd., make the first LEFT past the freeway onto E. Gale Ave.. Make a RIGHT on Plaza to enter "The Plaza" shopping center. Go left once you are in the shopping center and follow the shops along until you see "Luxy 101." It is right next to Office Max.
