This will be the first Pulsar of our 2nd year of production!

In addition, this will be the first Pulsar taking place at our new venue, Luxy 101 in the City of Industry!

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Expect a night full of some of the world's most cutting edge electronic dance music. Your ears will be guided by some of the most dedicated professionals in the Southern California electronic music and dance scene. These individuals have been hand selected for their tireless efforts in bringing the most modern electric sounds from around the globe to the Southern California Electronic Music and Dance scene; and now to YOUR ears, for your aural enjoyment!

The goal of PULSAR is to regularly bring together an eclectic mix of different, yet equally modern electronic dance music styles, into a united environment where many styles can be discovered, thrive, and be appreciated. In each edition of PULSAR, one can expect new and exciting sets from PULSAR residents; along with rotating guest DJ spots from the most promising up and coming, as well as long established DJ's in the scene.

This will be the first Pulsar of our 2nd year throwing events! To celebrate this, we have decided to start the night off a bit differently than usual. This time, Pulsar resident organizers ST BLACK & KAHN will play a special versus/tag team set. The music will cover a wide range of deep, progressive techno, trance, and even progressive house. With a year's experience presenting music for the Pulsar regulars, expect this set to match the atmosphere perfectly! Next up on the decks, Pulsar is happy to welcome back NIKROMA, also known throughout the dance community as Nic Aragon. Nic is beloved for his deep psychedelic sound ranging from psychedelic techno up through the rolling basslines of psychedelic trance. He has established himself as a resident among many of the tribes including: Terrakroma and ElectriCocoon. Recently, Nic was signed onto Zenon Records, based out of New Zealand. As Nic is busy forging his production in the studio, we should expect to hear a lot more from Nic in the future! To follow up, Nic's set, we will welcome SWELL of Psytribe. Lucky for us, it turns out that Nic and Kerry (Swell) are studio partners, and good friends! Not only do they produce music together, but they often play back to back sets at events. These guys know how to deliver progression and flow, and that is why we have them playing back to back. Kerry will be bringing the tempo up a notch to some faster progressive psytrance featuring signature rolling basslines and a heavy, deep psychedelic atmosphere. Kerry has been busy perfecting his production in the studio as well, so we should also expect to hear a lot more from Kerry in the future! Finally to end the night, we will welcome back one of Pulsar's favorite local DJ's, BARAKUDA. As the founder of Psytribe, and the mastermind behind much of Southern California's psychedelic music scene, Andy should need no introduction. After a night of full spectrum progressive music, it will be Andy's job to take it up a notch to some of the faster and harder psychedelic trance music. Let's face it, no Pulsar would be complete without at least some full-power psychedelic trance to end the night!

The energy will continue to build well through closing, leaving dancers wondering when the next PULSAR will be held!

So we hope you will join us for PULSAR V.11! You will be TRULY happy that you did!

And on behalf of the PULSAR team, we would like to thank each and every person who made it out to any or all of the ten Pulsar events we held during our first year of organization; making all of them such unforgettable nights. These events have been filled with positive energy, love, support, amazingly friendly vibes, and have certainly bestowed a purpose on the PULSAR organizers to continue organizing these events for the sake of the dancers! You all make this possible, and we wouldn't be able to do this without your support! We do this for you, the electronic dance community!

We would also like to send a special thank you to STUBBY'S BAR for hosting Pulsar for the past year. None of us will forget all the awesome times we have had there, and the owners and staff of Stubby's bar will always have our gratitude and support. As time progresses, new opportunities present themselves. We now have the opportunity to try a new venue. This Pulsar will be held at a new location nearby to Stubby's, but a bit closer to Los Angeles. This will be a trial run for the new location, and of course we welcome feedback from all attendees and organizers alike!

ART/VISUALS:

At PULSAR we strive to create a fun, comfortable, energetic, and psychedelic environment for our dancers/patrons. With our limited pool of personal resources, we have a small collection of lights/black lights, wall hangings, and other miscellaneous pieces of decor. This is of course in addition to all of the sound equipment we are already bringing. We are always making an effort to enhance the visual experience of our PULSAR events, such that they only improve as time progresses. A large chunk of any donations we receive go towards Art/Visuals.

Of course we are well aware that in our community there are many artists, and others just waiting to express their hidden talents. That is why, in an effort to help the local art community, as well as to enhance the vibes of our already fantastic PULSAR events, we welcome artists professional, casual, or anything in between, who would like to contribute to the visual appeal of our events, and put their work out on display. Of course you are responsible for your artwork. I cannot guarantee the safety of your art pieces due to obvious circumstances created between dancers, beverages, and everything else. I am willing to work with you, to figure out the correct placement, or any other details to make this work better for you. In addition, if you get in touch with me far enough ahead of time, I would be glad to include your art exhibit on the flier!

And of course non-artists, if you have any pieces of decor or lighting, especially psychedelic decor that is black light reactive, such as tapestries, posters, statues, incense burners, or anything else, we would love for you to bring it to add the the collective ambiance of the room. **Directions**

Exit Fullerton Rd. off of CA-60. From 60 East make a LEFT onto Fullerton Rd. From 60 West, make a RIGHT onto Fullerton Rd. Once you are on Fullerton Rd., make the first LEFT past the freeway onto E. Gale Ave.. Make a RIGHT on Plaza to enter "The Plaza" shopping center. Go left once you are in the shopping center and follow the shops along until you see "Luxy 101." It is right next to Office Max.
