Hi peoples been in the mood for sharing a few of my trax around for a while now.
Be warned the style is definitely not full on though. More into the 4 on 4 slower groove factor. Peace.
4 track for d/l @

hey ozone - how's the hole ?
Skip a level
real shivering bassline mate!! like it! but it could be deeper...that way its more droning in the mid area...boost it a little downways your sounds build a nice atmo together with your _very_ subtle and tiny percussion. in the part at around 3.30 i think the sounds are too loud..they are kinda overtoning that small melancholic synth u're laying there. at 4.20 u bring the audience to jump with a fresh KEBB entering. mate, come to switzerland, we'll like your sound at party at 6.30 u even get a little melodic which gives it a nice twist towards the end.
only negative point for me is that i cant see any redline in that track...and that some sounds are standing way more out than others, altho i think they wouldnt need to standout...all in all, well done.
i also listened to the other trax, but i cant find more time to review them as much as the first one, sorry, i can just say i really like your work. the second track would be my favorite i think. somehow melancholic minimal trance
cheers

Well yeah, I have to say that for minimalistic kind of production they sound very good...
All tracks have something to say even if they are minimal... I have to agree with Anakoluth on the point that u have to take care a bit your levels... Just take a good listen to all of your samples cause there are a few that are covered up by other sounds... Overall I have to say that they sound good, well done
Take care, and keep on producing.

Adunno, the slow developing minimalistic groovers are just not exactly my thing nowadays (well, in techno they are), but... well, here goes. Sound is good, structure is great, but you don't use sound manipulations to add variations (as I understand it, you want to keep it minimal so this is one way to give an added level of richness) - even when the sound is not monotone, it does not give a feeling of development which is the sign of a potent track. Adunno, some people may disagree with me, but I think you should work on development of atmosphere AND groove, not necessarily one at a time.

Muchos gracias for the criticism. Its harder to find among mates than strangers. Anyway yes there are some issues with the bass eq's in some of these trax. I have a friend visiting with his might fine compressor next week so I can tune the bass's somewhat. Also Tim Sensient has had a go at some of these but yet to hear the results.
Anakoluth - That track (Hook up?) was written at least 2 yrs ago. No chance of a Sandman rip off there, though I did tax some Beasty Boys for this one, and have burned quite a few cd's with that track included.
There are some fresh tunes since these were written that I reckon are much improved but one must hold something back neh?
Keep em coming!

I'll be taking these tracks down and uploading some other (older) stuff shortly so get in B4 these pickings are slim. BTW I don't thinks the direct links above are working. You need to register a username to access Soundclick, but I have recieved no junkmail since registering.
