Hello all,
I am a bit confused about this one so would really appreciate some advice..
Basically I've been reading some of my magazines and also Arie Molecular explained it in a previous thread.. they say that when you have finished your track (mix stage) you need to get rid of 'muddines' by giving each sound a frequency range.eg/ kick on 4khz-6khz and 60-80hz
So.. whats the best thing to use(parametric, shelf etc???) to have a sound with only a few frequencies selected? Also for that particular sound(eg/kick) the frequencies we do not select are they just cut or completly removed?
feedback would be much appreciated.. I use logic btw
