I think it's an amazing record.
Lot of soul in most of the tracks, very deep and emotionally charged music.
Don't know how it can sound at a party/festival..I can only imagine it, but I can tell that for home listening it's great!
The opening is just spot on: Brazil is a simple but effective tune. When the arpeggiator kicks in you know that the melody it's hitting the right notes...something that only Astral Projection and other few can do so well.
Track 3, silent circuits, is a 10 minute mammoth masterpiece with a melody that costantly slip away and hide from you like a beautiful girl. My favourite track of 2006, so far..
I just discovered Freq' music and I never listened to the previous record, so I can't really compare, but I'll buy it very very soon.
"Gosub" is certainly money well spent.

Enjoying the entire release but track 3 is the standout from the album. Not really sure why i like stone shaker but even that has been stuck in my head for afew days.
Great stuff. |

Funny you should say that, as my partner Norris I opened for J00F a few weeks ago at an outdoor festival here in Alberta, Canada. We played Stone Shaker near the end of our mainly deep and proggy set, while he was standing on stage, maybe if he had not heard the new Freq he will recognize the track when he hears it again because the crowd freaked out and it made a huge impact.
We will have our set up online from that event soon here:

Sorry for the plug!!! I am shameless....
As for the cd, it was a bit of a shocker to me, much more electro, an increase in vocals and seems more pop than his past releases. I have yet to settle on how I feel about it, other than Stone Shaker which is a pretty incredible track. |

A great release. Maybe it's different from the Strange Attractors album, but this is different in a good way. More emphasis on melodies in most tracks and overall a very good flow to the album and as a closer a chilltrack that's actually pretty good. Thumbs up for FREq and thumbs up for Iboga once again for releasing this.

I am with you on that. Iboga is slipping from the best of Progressive to 3rd or 4th. The last few cd's have been a waste of my money. Gosub was not a total waste but not a highlight of the year.

great album! not as good as strange attractors but still quality release. and i can confirm what ace ventura says about it going of in europe as it does the same in the aussie bush and clubs. this guy gets EVERYONE dancing when he plays this album live whether it be in the bush or in a club...great dance music, pretty good listening music....all in all a great album! |
