I can't believe that two people from dragonfly are going to play in athens.
But no way I am supporting this event.
If it was for the antidrug day ..... Iwould be there.
Why didin't you put "antiolympic event for those who hunted down our parties"
I don't like to hide
But its a good thing for such events to happen. Shows social health (hmm a lot of people will disagree on that, but ... who cares!) and freedom of expression.
Oh yes, and one more thing: Mr dragonfly sir please come and play to athens/or a festival again this summer cause we are starving to listen to your music!
Please give info for what this event is purposed for! |

After 18 months of being a "good boy" and not attending any trance parties, I decided to give it another go, starting with the Dragonfly event at Geoponiki.
Arriving by motorcycle outside the party, the bass filled my ears and my heart missed a beat. Hey, that sounded nice!!!
I had brought a friend with me, this would be her first psy-party. I think it was a good start!
Free entrance? Oh yeah!
Lots of people? Yes sir!
Quality sound system? You bet!
Good music? Yep!
Unfortunately we missed Dick Trevor, if he played, cause we arrived after 2am.
We partied till 5am with Leila Dragonfly as she played some really good tunes, though I have to add that her communication with the crowd was almost non-existant, as she was always looking at the console, smoking away, playing her stuff...
Beer was dirt cheap, and small (0,5lt) bottles of really cold water cost just 50cent!!! Hey, good for us! Glou, glou, glou…
The event was an open air one, with the "dance-floor" situated on the grass. Nice spacious place with the ability to dance, or sit down and chill-out in the green surroundings. Lots of people around, but I would give the "happy effect atmosphere" a 6/10, meaning that many people didn't dance, they just stood there looking a bit...lost. Maybe it was because some of them weren’t really party animals, and came to the party because it was free, and politically motivated.
Last but not least, I have to comment on the "Anti-Olympics" badge of the party.
I gave some thought to the following issue:
Maybe ppl would "label" me as an anarchist or an anti-olympics fanatic if I attended the party...
Then I thought... Who gives a flying f**k about labels and badges. I went there for the fun, and believe me, I had plenty. There was a screen projecting images of demonstrations and stuff on a wall, but it didn’t bother me in the least.
And if you are wondering... I am both for and against the Olympics but that's another, really long story.
So, all in all, a good, free open air event in a beautifull place. Give us some more of those please...

Arrived at venue at 5.00.
Free party, oh yes!
Dick good effort!
Didn't catch Leila
Herc was good. liked the Breath rmx by Tikal. nice morning set.
maybe there was a technical problem with sound but that seems minor to me.
