Short Introduction:

Alchemy is a very big label, with many good artists, producers and djs. One of their new artists is Simon Schwendener a.k.a Thujon a.k.a Freakulizer, from Switzerland. Always producing high quality tracks, now, with his very expected debut album. In his own style, morning tracks. Let’s take a better look at this release.

Through the Tracks:

Track #1:

* Moving In Harmony (7:02)

Very Thujon/Freakulizer style. Nice kick, as usual, a very powerfull bass-line, and lots of freshing tunes. The groove, is always in his music... and lots of it, also. Good track, I liked it more, cause gave the CD, some start, easy-going, just carring u through the rest of the album. Vocals, also... lots of vocals, a characteristic of his work. The track slows a bit, kicks a bit more, than speeds once more. Nice.

Track #2:

* Floating Thru Space (7:13)

Starts very smooth. Some nice vocals, like Middle Age priests!! And the kick begins. Followed by those voices. Very carry-on music... very clean sound, not those Phantasm Scratching stuff, that u can’t diference one sound, of another (Not personal). The turns are very like his former releases, the type kick-drop-turn. Good. And vocal, of course. Wich in fact, I liked a lot, this one.

Track #3:

* Visualisation (7:00)
Very nice start. Kicking like hell. And the fun begins. Groovy, trippy, and smooth. All together. The guy can really manage those synths. Like I’ve said before, very clean sound, smooth. Just caries u around. Lots, and lots of groove. IMO, I love this kind of music. U don’t have to make to much effort, so hear all of it. And It does not tires u. Vocal, as usual... “Visu visu visualization.....” Good track.

Track #4:

* Mentality (6:51)

Starts kicking from the beginning Than that Thujon incredible bass-line enters. Very good, the turn in this track really surprised me. GROOOOOOOOVE!!! ALWAYS GROOVE. Just gives u that floating felling... like, “take me music... I’m yours...” very nice track for dance floors... people will shake it, total. This pertuculary vocal, reminded me of Human Imagination, Thujon track, from V.A Pyrogenetics. Crazy track... gave that nice flashback. Briliant bass-line. Iupiiiiii! Very fun music. I liked this one a lot.

Track #5:

* Choose It Or Lose (7:52)

Stars funny. Weird looking sounds, rising on, just waiting and clearing the path to that incredible kick+bass-line. This time, a bit less powerfull, but in that nice way. Pushing u around. It stops one time, and comes back with style. This is a more psychedelic track, more tunes, to listen. Less groove alslo, which I kind of missed. Has that stop, rise up, loop turn, than the groove raises. Drops down again, and finishes. Good track, very full, inm matter of synths.

Track #6:

* Losing Control (8:41)

Very Thujon way, likewise. Start funny, with the grooves around.
The bass-line is strong, and deep, very high quality track. Reminds me of those snrising moments, when the heat and the track, join themselves to one, and gives u those “tingling sensations”, moving all over your body... Vocal for sure, a sort of mechanic one... very interesting track.

Track #7:

* A Wonderful Day (8:42)

The kicks start fast. Great bass-line also (which I think is kind oh Thujon way). Soon, the groove kicks in, followed by some nice head-spinning tunes, than raise, stop, kick-kick turn. Nice. Liked it a lot. The beginning is very fun. Very morning stye. Dance floor oriented for sure. Vocals, once more (U might think I don’t like vocals. But I do, this sort of vocals, yes. Always have... find it very interesting). Anyway, the track keeps on and on, with the groove smashing high. High quality track. One of my fav. A smooth relaxing sound enters, followed be a short bass-line, than it raises, kick-kick turn. Wow!!! Great track. I seem endless!!! Ualaaa!!!

Track #8:

* Understand Your Life

Good track. Starts deep, with lots of groove, smashing bass-line.
Found it a bit usual. The kicks, the bass-line, all together, form a good work. Quality, is always on his tracks. Pumping u kicks, just moving u around. Nice stuff.

Track #9:

* The track is good. I just think that the original one is better. He did it, in his own way, wich was interesting also, powerful bassline, high kicks, and lots of groove. I’m very in to Pysex, maybe that’s y I found the original one better.

Short Overall:

The album is very similar to all Thujon releases, IMO. The groove, that characteristic bass-line, with deep and powerful kicks. Liked it a lot. Very good work, considering the kind of music. One of the bests Psy-Groove albums I ever listened to. Big fan of his work. Very good Simon. Keep up dude....

Favorites:

1, 3, 4(!!), 6, 7 (!!!)

See u next time...

Discovering only now (two months late, too much to listen too, not enough time )

Really impressed. This album really makes me remember why I loved Psytrance in the first place!

Fat and deep, hypnotic and beautiful, I especially love tracks 2,3 and 4 (everything is great though!). The quality of the production is bashing.

A couple of tracks are also really groovy and put you on your dancing beat

track 8 is another winner, makes you shift to another dimensional level. m m m m m m

a blast, looking forward to the follow-up!

faves: 2,3,4,6,8 (more faves than my average album!!!!)

Me too. When he keeps 'em up that is. Which is rarely and exactly the reason I don't like this album. He just doesn't keep the melodies flowing enough. There's a good melody and then bam... it's all lost in mindless plodding again. Shame. Tri-Force is a much better melodic release IMO. Still, the man has potential, I'll give him that. So maybe next album?           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

i had the pleasure to listen to one of his newest tracks, actually a rmx of one of my all time favorite morning tune:

Protoculture vs Rinkadink: Poolside killer (Freakulizer Rmx)

to rmx a track means to catch its essence and express it with you own flavor. to rmx one of the best melodic tracks ever made is not an easy task. but...well done, it´s definitely a real stomper with the instinct to kill the dance floor, production wise (in comparison to the album) simon has reached the next step. thank you for this rmx!!!

please release it as soon as possible
