this song really reminds me of receptor. could be one of his tracks. and i like receptor very much.
i hope u dont mislike such compliments as "sounds like xxx" cause u wanted to make something unique

Naw, not at all, like I said, I was listening to Bird of Prey all week making this, and any other artists are just suggestions for me to check out
Thanks for the feedback - always looking for help on mixdowns, too - I know there's a lot I don't do yet. I'd like to make the bass puncher/louder in the mids and highs even while the song is cluttered.
And @ Chemistry: Young's is awesome! I'm not a stout drinker, but my Cafe is collaborating with a wicked microbrewery on a coffee porter and a coffee doppelbak. Last year it was killer - we had a 200+ person party, live jams, and drank basically the whole batch in one very, very caffeinated wasted evening.
