Aloha workshop... I've been out of commission here for what feels like months, but as usual, I'm back to inundate you with stuff that questionably belongs on my favourite production forum (because FUCK dubstepforums, that's why).
Anyways, more psystep. At 160 bpm. I don't even care about 140 anymore. This tune wrote itself.
Comments welcome! I'll put whatever changes yalls suggest into my live-set version

I agree with the poster above, this really sounds a lot more like psychill than it does like dubstep. No wonder you get dissed at dubstepforum for unacceptable nonconformance with genre rules
However, i looked at your photo on Soundcoud, you certainly pull off the dubstep look, so at least they would let you into a dubstep club if you are of legal drinking age!
Anyways, no matter how you classify this, this is very cool

Nice one.
IMO, I'd put a long delay on top of the squelch at 0:27, making that sound blend into the track (now it just sounds like a single squelch)
The bass LFO sounds a little static for conventional dub step, have you tried automating its' FLO rate around?
I'd also try and lower the attack on the bass throughout the tune, to hear that little slap in the beginning of each played note.. The bass gets really busy and it seems you adjusted the keytrack on the LFO and/or filter to start out low on each pressed note, and with the quick played notes, the bass looses it's definition.
Else wise, everything seems to be worked out, it fit's together and sounds really spacey.. I'd probably just try to layer in an electric guitar with some delay for good measure and live playability.

Hehe thanks bro. The 1/4 lfo was intentional, personal taste for that groove, i'm more interested in creating music than, err, 'conventional dubstep.'
Might think about playing around with that guitar idea. Not too sure about distortion/buttrock factor - but definitely some guitar playing could happen here. And that squelch! Yes, agreed. Time and time again when producing, I realize "more delay" was the key.
Shazam.
Edit: see what you mean about the attack on the bass! It's the filter envelope amt that will bring it out more, I think. And some tweak on the side chain. Sigh, always work to be done - No rest for the wicked. Dance, even if you have nowhere to do it but your living room. ~Kurt Vonnegut

Great stuff, I really enjoyed the track. A nice chilled out song. I'd love to hear the bass a bit fatter and a little distorted

i hope you stay with your "musicality above cliché" attitude. your vibe is really enjoyable..
