I just discovered this DJ and i googled his name. Seems this thread made him chaging his attitude so, despite all the bad vibes in it, the artists being upset and all the other things he stopped selling his cds.
At least on his webpage.
Instead there are 6 mixes downloadable for free which I am about to try. So it seems it was a good move after all

Selfish bastards. You should thank to this guy, because without him you would rest in the unknown and ignorant side of this world.
He is doing a great job by putting together beautyful songs that otherwise u wouldnt hear at all (radio, media etc ... ) .
The mixes are combined perfectly with his own work, and for that you should approach this matter in a different way. Make a contract that work for both parts, dont just whine like children with broken toys.
All that hate and anger wont do you much good. |

The most recent post was from more than a year a go. Every other one prior to draeke's post was from 2006. I think you're a bit late to the party. I've never bothered to listen to his mixes and happily dwell in the unknown and ignorant side of this world.
I think it's great that he takes the time to put special mixes together with songs others might never hear. Even better if he has the skill to carefully and painstakingly craft a cohesive and flowing audio experience. But if he is charging $$$$ for his mixes and the artists being used aren't getting royalties, then he is stealing. End of story. Now if he wants to stop selling and post his mixes here in the "My DJ mix" thread, more power to him. |
