Thanks for clearing that up, man! GREAT to hear this! I truly wouldn't want to be represented by a DJ such as yourself anyway, so trust me, bro, it's NO loss to me if you don't spin my music, EVER. If you have a licensing deal with SGAE to play music that THEY have the right to license, then you are most likely all good in that circumstance. But since I KNOW that Celestial Dragon has nothing to do with SGAE, then I just wanted to be sure you weren't using my music, and if so, thinking you had the right to use my music on your mixes you are SELLING.
So carry on, but please realize, if you're using ANY music that isn't technically licensed by SGAE, then you are profiteering off artist's hard work without any help to them, and I can imagine a few artists who aren't going to be down with that, AT ALL.
I'm done with this discussion now that I have peace of mind about my own music and I hope many of you have learned something from this.
So you have two choices about what to think about me FrancoFunghi, and anyone else who has been perturbed by my statements.... just know that I'm not alone in my thoughts.
EITHER
A: you think I'm some a greedy asshole producer who's loaded and just wants more and more (haha, like I'm involved with some corporate label or something, HA!) which couldn't be further from the truth
OR
B: you understand that I need to protect my creative work and be compensated when others are using it for their own personal monetary gain when I need the minimal amount of funds I DO get off making music to make ends meet.
I appreciate your honesty and wish the best with your ultimate DJ scam.

don't get me wrong, despite the whole gross money thing, i still think this guy is one of my favorite dj's. His sets are brilliant, and i'd love to see him live. Its just weird because any dj or artist should be overjoyed in the simple fact that others want to hear their work...sooooo many dj's have mailed me copies of their mixes when i had dial-up just because they were happy i enjoyed their mixes.
I was just baffled that FrancoFunghi was charging THAT MUCH for his mixes when they're played on HBR1 every day; almost offended because it was as if he was using his fans rather than appreciating them. I mean, my roommate and I totally were going to buy a few if they were like $15, but now i think we're just going to record the streaming audio....
oh well. I'd still pay to see you live if you ever come to the states, Franco! lol |

Dont wanna be pedantic,but as downloading illigal mp3 is not enough,now people like this clown posing as dj just try to cash on indy music.
I totally disrispect people like him.Plus he is just not only a twat for what he does,but also a pussy for not coming out and give proper answers to the legittimate questions posted in here.
If in small community as psy trance is ,individuals cant undertstand and RESPECT each other work,then no f%$king wonders music industry suck every year worse.

I dont care what other djs do,if they play mp3 or not.This is not the point.
He is selling music he DOESNT own.He is not paying the artists for that,and regardless the fact you or anyone else like a specific artit's music, it is not your property whatsoever.
Hence,no right to sell it.

Indeed, those francofunghi mixes/compilation are way more expensive than most VAs and chill out albums sold out there.

there are a bunch of promotional mixes from a bunch of great Djs posted right here at this forum, with proper credits that honour the labels and the artists.

Correction. I've played qutie a few gigs on compromised terms where I wanted to be there for fans, but not getting paid what I wanted
and ultimately taking a loss out of my pocket just so I could connect with the people who really like my music, despite your opinion of it. So I'm not sure if you're trying to say that people paying to see me live is how I should only get paid for my work, but let's say if I did, I'd be begging you for spare change.

Correction. I think you're under the impression I've been "out" for FrancoFunghi, when I too, had never heard of him before this. When I realized that he played chillout and might be using my music (but charging $25 for mixes that most likely has un-licenses music from labels) it raised my curiosity to find out if my label and I needed to be compensated. I don't expect you to understand the "business" of it. You're probably not doing this for a living.

Correction. You're under the impression I was angry, when you've obviously mistaken it for TACT. I truly was relieved when I found out he wasn't using my work and glad I didn't have to pursue it any longer. I feel in getting to the bottom of it, I could excercise some insight into the illegal technicality of his conduct. I don't agree with him in his pratices and choose not to use even FREE representation by a DJ if they conduct themselves in a business mode such as what he's doing, without working with a proper label who specialize in taking care of artists and oversee the professional aspects of such a DJ mix release. Sure I could have e-mailed him in private but then many others would not learn from this discussion, as many have already expressed their appreciation of it taking place.

Call me a fundamentlist but....
Glorify the internet all you want, my friend, but I trust and know that the sacred "word of mouth" is how people have come to know Androcell. People actually show the *actual* CDs to one another, becuase they feel compelled to spread the love of the visual artwork AND the music. Since you've probably only *downloaded* all my "boring" music, you wouldn't know this. Since you're a big internet advocate, tell everyone that http://www.androcell.com hasn't even had a website in place for a few weeks. That's how much I'm depending on it to spread the Androcell project. Yes, people are buying my music very consistently and that must either mean that it's good to them, or they were fooled by the cover art, haha. I'm only afriad of the DJ (like FrancoFunghi) who sells un-licensed mix discs without working for or with a label, proper.
I have NO IDEA what you are going off about at the end of your paragraph with "SMALL GOA SCENE?" and all this "VIP, Fake Trance Freedome Lovers" blah. This is totally irrelevent to the "discussion" that was at hand until you showed up with your CAPS LOCK key stuck and your lack of grammar to really just put a spike in the civilized conversation that was going on. So I feel no need to even comment. I just know that FrancoFunghi was probably embarrassed when he read that this is how you came to his defense.

i was not defending franco funghi,i was attacking your furious comments.i didnt saw here pete namlook(know him?)or the artists he had put in his page exploding like eggs because of a so irrelevant dj....i read some statistics that say probably there are now more than 8 million dj in the world not counting with the emule and slsk dj(i do not download cds and i am so proud about my collection of some 00000 cds.man i think YOU didnt get my point i was just laughing about the publicity you made to franco funghi..................................................................................and now i ask.....are you using original and buyed software?all of it?ever?and the plug ins?you payed to mckeena or that strange voices you use?ever?you dont have none of a copied cd?
