there we go

00:10

so far all good.

as i said earlier (on msn), it lacks some sortof room.
it's "too clean" and could well be fixed with some slight EQing on both the BD and bass.
some warmifier or analog emulating thing might take care of it aswell. just to "put the samples" together. so it sounds "one" instead of "seperate sounds."
mastering generaly fixes that sortof stuff though, but still, another way of putting it is saying that it sounds "digital"

it's hard to illustrate exactly what i mean. ask me on msn and i'll go on further into it with some samples on what i mean maybe we could send stuff back and forth and start working on that track once and for all

00:37 this hat thing could also use some reverb, or something that places it together with the track, it sounds sortof out of place in some way.

00:50 this Snap sound is great maybe lower it a db or two though, but i think you sould problely lower the waterfallish thing aswell with it, otherwise the snap'll stick out too much.

and the hm, up and downish waterfall thing is waaay loud on some frequencies. i dont think a compressor would take care of all of it, there's EQing to be done.

it utterly kills ears at around 1500 hz, 3200 hz things, read up on the fletcher mundson syndrome (not the group, the syndrome) and you'll know what i mean.

and by now i would've liked some better lowends, but it could work if it comes further in

01:27 here was a cute sound
01:33 aswell

i enjoy that sound. what is that?

me likes

1:51, this one is a bit loud. the roaring distorted thing.

and it could be felt even fatter if it was peakcontrolled by the BD a la "eric prydz - call on me" . but it all depends on what kindof mood you want out of it.
when stuff is pumped by the BD it generaly feels like the track gets "limits" and feels well, like it's "framed"

02:37 the waterfall sticks out here,

02:41 oh here it ended and got replaced by that icky sounding thing which i think ROCKS.
nice work with that one

and the lowend got a fatter bottom aswell. but it could be even more phat. and louder. phatnesscompressorsness it!

it feels as if the RMS frequency response of this track isn't very linear. it's good enough here abouts but overall the diffrent "parts" of the track are very diffrent mixing wise.

there's a panning pad thing that sweeps back an forth that also could be EQed around the fletcher mundson parts, or is it some effect that resonates with the tone of the instrument? 04:12 here it really kills, 04:16 aswell...

04:20 (420 !) waterfall comes back, and still hurts ears. the thing is, i know you enjoy hurting ears, but its... well fuck it hurts, and stuff can be loud and hurty without actualy reaaally hurting

04:50 this sound that builds up and explodes at 4:57 is good though, that was a "good hurting" sound. ...maybe a bit too loud though it would problely make people squirm over their ears on a sizeable PA system especialy indoors...

I also enjoy when it hurts where it's Suposed to hurt, like there. but when a sound sounds okay for one second, and the other it just hurts makes for a very "unstable" and wobbly mixing and it rarely fits with the track itself rythmicaly or harmonicaly.

05:06 no complaints here.

well the notes on the melody is really wierd. but i guess that's the point
i can imagine that you could enhance the general mood here even more with some chords or something, right where it goes... hm, fuck its hard to write these sortof things

05:49 this time it sounds louder?

05:57 and the attack on the female aaaah thing could be increased, it starts a bit suddenly.. have it blending with the "silence"

and the vocal movie(?) sample here is a bit loud aswell.

06:28 cool melody

06:38 hehe very nice here. i recognize the bass thing from somewhere....

07:07 the sound screamish thing is also a bit loud

07:22 here it's utterly aargh hurting

oh and here it ended.

Thanks ALOT for a long and good comment. Rare these days!

As I've said yo you before, the track aint finished sequencing wise nor mixed properly So alot of the things you say will be fixed, even tough I disagree on some points This kind of music is SUPPOSED to fuck your ears

Thanks alot man, really helpful.
