Forza EP - ( AP Records, Jan. 2006 )
Forza is a prominent Mexican producers, who's been living in Brazil for some time now. He's very busy playing at parties, teaching music production and producing his own music under both his projects: Forza and Double Trouble. He's literally a musician.
AP Records is an Germany based label founded by Jinno + Jiga of Analog Pussy. Their releases are in CD and Vinyl formats as well. They released the debut albums of two of the artists who collaborate in this magnificent relese: Lamat and Smugh.

Track by track:
Lunariom (Smuhg edit) --> The album begin with Lunariom, a fast pace progressive tune that exales good feelings. It's a collaboration with Smuhg, another well-know Mexican producer, and in this tune they combined efforts to present a well-balanced tune: a lot of psychedelic effects, the right dosage of different melodies, fast but still progressive. Excellent work.
Fighting Back --> Another collaboration with Smuhg, but this time steadier and ever evolving. Discrete melodies, nice atmosphere and the synths at 4:20 arrive at the right time to give that extra boost to the dance floor. Well balanced tune and excellent for any afternoon. Forza and Smugh managed to guide us in a smooth voyage through the progressive realms of psytrance.
Siempre Contigo --> Once upon a time Forza met Moira, and it seems it was love at the first sight, one must be in love to create such masterpiece. Right from the start we can feel the amazing vibes of this wonderful piece of music: excellent samples into the track's context, bird noises, well built melodies, different and powerful bass lines. Nothing less than the best progressive tune released this year in my opinion. It was just perfect to listen to this tune at the first day of the Earthdance Festival - Brazil. Forza finished his Live with this one, setting the right mood for the rest of the Festival. Exceptional track, real masterpiece.
The Morning Light --> This last track is a well executed full on collaboration with Lamat. Very psychedelic, a lot of synths and morphing bass lines. The melodies after both breaks melt with the track atmosphere producing an incredible dance floor response, it feels like the dance floor will take off. Another winning track.
Congratulations AP Records, Forza, Smugh, Moira and Lamat for this quality release. I heard Forza is producing new music, please keep this tight quality control!
Recommendation: I recommend this release to all proggy heads. It's available only on vinyl, but checking the samples is extremely recommended. This is the real stuff: music!
