I think that if I had the cash, I'd be already rewiring Logic synths into Pro Tools and using TDM plug ins for processing. I am definitely going to jump on the Pro-Tools bandwagon...not just yet, but hopefully next year

honestly, I still think its not that interesting for electronic music production. there are several things like logic, cubase etc that are much better for that, and so is pt for other purposes.
and p&s, why would you rewire logic with pt when you can use tdm plugins in logic?

I use Pro Tools because the mixing honestly sucks in FL8. And in Pro Tools it rocks. Also I am doing audio post production on tv and film stuff from time to time, so it only makes sense for me to use Pro Tools, as it is what is used primarily in the movie industry.
Mad scientist, I do agree with you there, all the way!
However I am really interested in seeing if Digidesign finally beefed up there midi implementation to the point where it is not just plain crappy!

There is rather common opinion, that Pro Tools is a perfect tool for sound engineering, but not for music-making. Don't know why, I have very little experience of workin on Pro Tools (pressed PLAY a couple of times ) , but people say so...

For just Audio Protools is very good for its routing stuff, rtas plugs and all that..but cubase and logic or even live will beat protools in midi in no way..even if there is new stuff..cubase was strong in midi in the first days and its grown up on this..but protools just starts with it..and think about the money..protools le..with m-box well..but your still limited in tracks..you aren`t in cubase or logic..just on your cpu..and a full HD system makes no sense if you do not record big names and stuff..(record) not produce electronic music..
and nuendo got all the features you need for high end post production...and again..you can use the hardware you like and your not limited to basic digidesign hardware..get a decent euphonix faderpack and mixing desk..and you can use whatever you want on it..
not a big mouse like i-con.. ;-)
just because protools is commercial standart its just like, cause of many people listen to britney spears i have to do the same....
i will never spend any f.. € in any digidesign(avid) hard or even software(m-powered)..
dmpov
peace and no offence to anybody!

Cause I wanna run an HD3 Accel system in the studio I want to set up in the near future and get the clients to give me the work I need to be doing.
