If you're running windows 2000 or xp you'll be fine.

In control panel... go to administrative tools and then computer managment.

Under "Storage" go to Disk Management

You should be able to do it in here ...

"pass from"? You mean "switch to"?

NTFS is the standard, has been for years, I'm not understanding what problems you're worried about running into.

You're formatting the drive, right? There's no files to lose?           http://soundcloud.com/aeon604

yes you can format in NTFS but after you will not be able to return to FAT32 ( i have already crashed a DD like this )
NTFS is important if you had files which make more than 5 gigas .           http://middleroader.free.fr/

The HD is empty, and the options to format are NFTS, at the moment the HD is formatted in Fat32 (it came like this). My question is: can i switch to NFTS, will the HD work properly or will i have problems with it?
I don't wanna switch to NFTS and then the HD will die or start working badly, know what i mean?           Visit me
