Would like to know how you handle this.

I'm in the tedious process of a clean install of my pc.

It takes me days to tweek the setup.
And i'm wondering how much other producers do this process, and how to do it in the most effecient way.

Do some make a ghost image after the most essential progs are installed for next time? (my setup seems to change to much for this , i think...i do a format c +- every 8-12 months).

Would like some different approches to this ...

cheers.

I use this:
http://www.acronis.co.uk/homecomputing/products/trueimage/index.html

Don`t know if there are some betters or cheaper software for backups. I use it now for some years and it works:
I made two backups: One Backup after installing all Software I bought. This backup is saved on an external usb hdd, which I only use for this. The second Backup is saved on my internal hdd, and every month I only make incremental backups...

I haven't time for installations and pc maintenance.... my pc system says: Installation date: day 25, month 3, year 2008
My system runs without any problem... with thousands of software (terabytes .... thanks pirates ), thousands of plugins..... without any problem, never.

Who wants a clean windows?
My installation date is mars 2008 and there is nothing that i don't want, nothing unneeded, my system is what i want..... practically it's my clean windows with thousands of plugins, hundreds of programs, all "needed", all perfectly running.
My nightmare will be when i'll upgrade to a 64 bit OS.
