look guys,
it is not so important.
the only reason i ask is because i'm buying one of these units.
i am so bored of sequencing drums and so bored of listening to sequenced drums that i believe it very important for the vibe, to having live drums.
like example spongle,, no ways that is progammed.
also,
i was looking at full digital kits and i just do not have the space for it. this alesis kit is the perfect remedy.
i mean look
dubble foot bass and all
i'm not pro like that but you can layer,, a layer hats, then a layer snare and so on.
$189 CAD
i forgot to mention you can make midi patterns with this, triggering any wave you wish

The colors almost look sephia like, easily b&w to the memory. I am very glad you got what you were looking for. That is an awesome vid
Cheers
Edit:Sh*t I am buying one!!! I have an alesis dm5 pro kit or something but I don't have the space either so it never gets used This is way cleaner. I was going to save for a roland model but for this price this fits my needs exactly.

SineFreq, thx. check it out ,the model with built-in samples goes for $290 something. im getting the model without. you can hook it up with usb to the pc and link any sample to any pad. I have enough samples on the pc to save that $100 maybe buy the pedals.
drucdrac,
that cosmik connection vid is awesome. I love jazzy psy like that.
The drummer has a difficult task playing with high-ish beat rates but this guy does a good job with it.
I would have done it digital drum set.
I know they will never achieve that feel of live acoustics with didtal sets. but while i was in the shops looking for the alesis , i played on some pretty amazingly realistic digital drum sets.
+ you can get creative with the sounds of it and its not a drag to record.
