I finally got it!

This is truly the release of 2008. Most of the tracks are mindaltering masterpieces. The cover is a oddly enough the same size as a dvd and made of quite thin cardboard. It feels more like a sampler of some sorts, but these artists and their tracks are not just for sampling, but for long term enjoyment.

Quick review:
1. Atriohm. Even though I had big expectations, being a big fan and owner of every track they ever released, this track doesn't disappoint. The bass is not the most interesting they ever did, but the deep leads and flow is spot on and very characteristic.
2. Drury Nevil. Another great track from Drury, it has a truly great flow and a big soundscape unfolds with long progressions and the mood is set. A favorite.
3. Savage Scream. Definitely a fine track with a dry synth in the latter third that lifts the whole track to another level.
4. Gidra. Not the most imaginative track, but definitely a nice one.
5. Onkel Dunkel. Another great artist. I liked his earlier project (GOW), but I like the less chaotic Onkel even better. This track is one of his best, with imagination and variation that operates your mind with surgeon-like precision. Definitely a favorite.
6. Encephalopaticys. Great flow and amazing power in this ubertrack flowing directly from the original source of music. Great bass that drives you and drives you and drives you, while you're being enveloped in big sounds. Already looking forward to the double album with Atriohm next year!
7. Drury Nevil vs Naked Tourist. This track sounds a little like an old NT track called Lunar Asylum. The sound is updated and has a powerful drive. Nice.
8. Encephalopaticys vs Atriohm. Whoa! Those Macedonian guys must have found some ancient magical potion that they pour over their instruments when they create these huge and amazing soundscapes of flow incarnate. Luckily for us, the wizards share their magic with the mundane!
9. Stranger. This track is not very imaginative. Not bad in anyway, just not the same class as the rest of the tracks.

My recommendation:
If you buy a t-shirt from Shaman and get this for free, I think it is a bargain *if* you manage to get Shaman to send it with the cd. I would recommend that you contact them before you place your order to make sure that you get the cd with your order. Be sure to write the cd name and the track list because the name "In plants we trust" are on other Shaman releases (hence the Vibracoustic album). They definitely mean well, but the right arm just doesn't know what the left arm does, as we say in danish.

Bo0m!

they are cool people -

trust them

they were just looking for a way to make the CD work as so many people now download music it isn't worth releasing it for many many labels.

If enough of you hassle them by email for a release then I'm sure they would release it but if 400 people worldwide bought it it wouldn't pay for the tracks or Boern's time so not surprising they chose the former method with clothes.

TOO many people downloading and burning others CDs.
average worldwide sales now 250-500 for most average labels.
more for the parvati's / nano's / alchemy's etc.

Seriously, you can get a t-shirt for as little as €39. That's only a little more than your average cd, and then you also get a next to unique t-shirt to remember this awesome release...

Just remember to e-mail Shaman BEFORE you place your order to make sure they include the correct cd! You'd think it shouldn't be necessary, but please heed my advice.

IN PLANTS WE TRUST - COMPILED BY DJ IGUANA

Shipping to India

Sub-total € 15,00
Shipping cost € 9,00
Total € 24,00

And if you think that's bad try ordering from France or Germany where shipping is € 18,00! Ironically Shaman Electro is French run and the record is compiled by a German DJ.

This is straight up weird mon! The fact that they bypassed audio pirates is commendable though. yay for the underunderground!

If there's anyone from Shaman-Electro in this thread, could you please tell me, do you really have a customer support, or it's just a sign on your website? I wrote several letters and got no answer. I want to buy a cd and I need a bit of help with it, could you please answer those letters or PM me here? Thanks in advance.
