I understand this, but that 'different concept' has been rejigged a few times. Initially, it was buy the cd and get a free t-shirt, now it's been amended so we must shop for clothes in order to even have a chance at purchasing the compilation. Regardless, my interest hasn't changed but I'm still not able to find the correct site to view the clothes+cd..am I missing something simple here?
Can anyone provide the link for the clothes and to view the cd..please and thank you.

I'm also disappointed by the way this is released. It contains tracks that are beyond awesome, by artists I'm a long time admirer of (just glance at the names and drop your jaw!).
This is more or less *the* release of 2008 in my ears, and I can't even buy it??
I ordered the jacket from shamanelectro on 2008-10-29 and my order is still just "confirmed". omg, this is going to take a looong time to get to Denmark all the way from Hong Kong. And it will be expensive as well: Add roughly 40% for customs to Denmark to the 95 and you get the picture.
My vote for the artists seeking other distribution channels still stands. I just want to listen to their mindbending creations as soon as possible! I would personally buy them again if they were available for download from sites like audiojelly or cytopia (preferred because of wav download).
My main fear is that I won't even be listening to these awesome tracks in 2008... :/ |

Another update: I got the parcel from Shaman Electro today. I had to pay 57 in customs and fees, so the total cost is 152 for the jacket.
There is no sign of the cd and there was no sign that the parcel has been opened. I specifically wrote in the order details that the order was on condition of getting the cd and if it wasn't included the order was void. Now I entertain the faint hope that the cd will get send separately.
I have tried to contact Shaman Electro about this from this page: http://www.shaman-electro.com/cms/lang/en/content/Contact-us.htm, but no matter what I write in the fields it fails with an ASP error. I have now contacted them via the MySpace page that was linked earlier and asked them if I should expect the cd.
I must say that I had a bad feeling about my order from the start, so I'm not really disappointed, since it was more or less what I expected. I never got an email confirmation and my order status is still just 'confirmed'. There never was any update or communication from Shaman Electro.
I would not recommend anyone following my example and buying anything from Shaman Electro until further notice.
Until I hear from Shaman, I pity the artists who probably also have been looking forward to seeing their tracks released.

Yay! I got reply from Shaman Electro via Myspace mail today. They said they were sorry and that the cd will get sent this week. 
I asked them to put a value of $10 on the cd and not mark it as a gift. Otherwise the Danish customs will require another $15 in fees in addition to customs. Shaman sent the jacket with an unmarked value as a gift. So to get it from customs I had to (snail)mail the PayPal receipt to customs before I could get it. Marking stuff as gift is like a red flag to the Danish customs and as soon as they want info it costs $15 plus customs.
I will get back to you when I have the cd. Until then I would think twice if I was considering ordering clothes from Shaman to get the cd, unless I was resident in Indonesia.

Guys, I really can't find any words, because I'm so disappointed.
Today I got an envelope with a cd from Shaman Electro and I was so excited when I unwrapped it, thinking that now at last my struggles to get this cd would be over. The envelope contained "Vibracoustic - Dark Skies". I resisted the urge to throw it out the window and I have instead written Shaman Electro once again and asked if they would kindly send me the right cd.

from a very good concept to (may I..) total bullshit!!

Hey Lsathranil im really sorry for what you have been thru. i initially thought that this concept would work out but it seems that Shaman Electro are not doing it the right way . i will contact them and i will send you a Pm once i have something.
Its sad as i havnt received my copy either.

I got reply from Shaman Electro and they sounded really sad and apologized. They said they will send the correct cd.
I offered to pay something extra when I have the cd, because I don't want to be the cause of bad feelings. (and I really want this cd!!)
Regarding the jacket it's actually quite nice and good quality. I think that Shaman Electro mean well. I just think they have some trouble with getting things done right.
I will get back to you all when there is any new development. =)
