Hi , Untill one week ago i had terrible problems with my Sx and midi syncing ...when i played some notes on either vsti or hardware , Cubase would take All of the notes and place them randomly ( so all my work had to be done in the Roll section manualy ) . I started asking around , why this was happening , but i couldnt get a straight answer .
Then i fell across this some days ago , and maybe some of u have had this problem with ur cubase so check out this .
- Open Ur cubase library
- Find folder "MIDI Port Enabler" and open it
- copy the file "ignoreportfilter" to ur cubase library
- restart Cubase.
- Under "Midi Inputs" you choose the NOT emulated port.
Its something to do with Xp fucking around with the emulation of the ports sometimes .
And i know i tried EVERYTHING , checking my latency , sync , Quantize , but nothing could solve this displacement of notes .
Until i did this ,
NOW I CAN PLAY realtime , for the first time since my change from win 2 k . Juhuuuuuuuuu
i hope its helpfull for some:)

And also try enabling and disabling the midi timecode option to see what works best. Some soundcards work better with it enabled, some don't. |
