oooh, a recent addition to this list:
Naked Tourist - "Zombifiert". Just awesome, been trying to copy this for ages but I just cant get it right. That sound is so perfectly well tweaked and tuned...

nectarios--> Primus' Bassist is quite good but i don't like their music so much.
Another good bass players: Munky (Korn)
Jason Newstead (ex Metallica)
Also Leftfield had very powerfull basslines, Goldie - Timeless album has some good bass lines, Fatboy Slim, Chemical Brothers and Beethoven is very groovy and kills the dancefloor

Hey Pavel, Steve Harris is from Iron Maiden. 
Let me think about an american one...
mmm ... the dude from Suicidal Tendencies rocksss a lot too.
But once my mind is open for trying a new kind of bassline on the tracks I produce, this is not the one im looking for.
