Digidesign have announced the release of M-Powered Pro Tools. since digidesign bought Maudio, this product is designed to work with Maudio products Audiophile 192, Audiophile 2496, FireWire 410, Firewire 1814. M-Power is very similar to the LE version of protools. to anyone ever though of changing to protools but dont wanna by a shitty Mbox this is a great chance. Cant wait to gets my hands of it....

pitty they forgot about delta 44, 66 and 1010 users...
...again we see hardware manufactures caring less about owners of older stuff...

they should, because there's a lot of us around and if we stop buying M-Audio stuff they might have to sell those mercedes at the front of their offices...

long. I don't think digi is that stupid. they want to sell hardware, and I'm sure they'll give the hackers hard time. I do think that it should be cheaper. |

Top-down - id say its a matter of taste, all of the programms are good...
they all have their pros and cons...
you have to look at single functions to compare them...
for example, multitrack recording, Mixer routings, software compability....ect, ect...
im just a novice user so i cant tell you...

I havent find a solution till now, even if on digidesign's and m-audio's web page.
I ve downloaded the demo version of protools m-powered,run the setup and after installation there comes a msg about a command||8 (if i remember well) driver.Thats a digidesign's driver for theirs hardware included to the zip file.
As a typical idiot i run it and of course it found no hardware plugged into the system...
