Read the manual..Look at the demo songs that come with FL..There are tutorials on the FL website download those and go through them..Try to find someone who's using FL and sit down with him and watch how they work..Good luck it takes lots of time and patience..

hello!
glad to see you on this forum!
1. ur not too young for fl studio.
2. dont give up.
3. what kind of music do you plan on making?
4. have you tried to read the manual?
5. best way i think to go about it is to read the manual and try to start some beats. as and when u come across specific parts or terms that you dont understand, google it. still not, throw it into the forum.
6. be patient.
7. lots of websites you can check out for knowledge.

hi muzik, it's all good!!!
we all continue to learn, you can never stop learning unless you give up,
it's good that you have that positive attitude I too have that dream of coming out fresh and it's possible for me aswell as you and others... it's all matter of time and lots of hardwork and last of all lots of sacrifices, like not going out with friends to places, buying new clothes, etc.. example: i've lost plently of things such as girls, i've worn the same crappy clothes for two years no single new shirt or shoes in other words bummy no haircut etc... but you know what i got a killer studio worth bout 25+ thousand dollars because of it and that makes me proud and keeps me moving, im getting everyday closer and closer to that dream you;ll have to sacrifice alot but in the end you'll make it you'll see... and wen you do, you'll realize you'll still learning more and more... im gonna put up some pics of the studio sometime soon to help inspire that dream. My journey started in a library wer i werked i found some keyboard and electronic music magazines and before the end of the month they were all gone i took them all home and kept em and still have them.. i learned so much from them 3 months later with the money earned working i bought my self the nord,,, i bought the synth instead of a car that's how bad i wanted to make music... you gotta sacrifice it and be tuff even if you feal like quiting... peace brother and most importantly just have fun with it you'll learn in the process but also do read alot especially the manual alot of people don't and thats where they go wrong!!!!

hey therapist
chill, take things slowly you're still young and there's so much time to learn
to your question: fruity gives you almost everything you need. it's like the notation book of mozart. now you need the violin or a cello aka vst instruments
visit www.kvraudio.com to get free synths, effects or use the ones that you got from fruity. the forum/messageboard is also useful for us musicians.
btw I was the same age when I started doing music... that was with fasttracker 2... awesome time
