I have the saffire (the white one with the DSP) and its fine. Good converters and although I don't use its included plug-ins in tunes, I do use them when I jam on my guitar/bass and they sound fine.
No issues with my MacPro, drivers work a treat. Good to have two separate headphone outputs with independent volume pots if you wanna make tunes with someone else throughout the night, simple and effective software routing to switch through different pairs of speakers.

Been using the Saffire LE with Dynaudio BM6A for one year now. It's a great interface, stereo imaging is amazing (3D like!) , sound is very dynamic. Before, I had been using a M Audio Audiophile 2496 and the saffire is really far better. I used to work also at a friend's studio who used a Motu 328 mk II and it's in the same league. To me, it's the best you can afford at this price tag. Using it with the Dynaudio, i had to use the EQ switch behind the dynaudio to turn down the high frequencies a bit though. |
