Check the syslog and see if anything goes wrong when the sound stops...and post it here...

Are you using a Texas Intruments firewire chip in your computer? When I used that instead of the onboard FW; it made my Saffire (not le) work flawlessly

Ah, thats a Portable pc? Your screwed...

Might be another solution, but most laptops seem to use lower quality FW, resulting in bad performance with alot of soundcards. And it doesnt really help to install a texas i fw card, cause you would still be limited by the PCMCIA/PC-express slot.           http://www.myspace.com/fragletrollet

Do you power the card through firewire only or do you also use a power adapter? Most of the times laptops can't provide continuous power to the soundcard through their 4-pin firewire port resulting in problems similar to those you mention.

I use power adapter and 4 pin cable . . .

I solved the problem when i turn off the wireless network adapter now everything is fine but i cant use wireless while i use the sound card . . .

I go on the internet over ethernet cable . . .

This is very strange i dont know what can the conflict be with the Wireless and the Firewire adapter . . . (maybe anymore can help with this? )
