OK guys, I'm new to synthesis in the sense that I still am randomly tweaking knobs to get sounds. Now, what has intrigued me is the simple design of the Spiralator. I use FLStudio and want to know how to get started getting some crazy celtic Spirals going. Is it better to use the piano roll and have one long note or throw in a pattern and have a wee tweak at the parameters cos whatever it is I'm doing wrong it sounds like damn all at the minute. Thanks in advance.
PS the kick synth doesn't really seem to work on my system. Really glitchy and broken up. Kinda like Squarepusher  |

@the bap kick synth is a 'alpha'-beta-pre-test-crap version 
what do u mean with a celtic spiral?
u can use pianoroll with one note or more note but use the pianoroll not the drum seq.

hey EYB cheers for getting back. I had another go last night and think I'm getting somewhere at last!
Celtic spirals are the type you see in celtic art. They're pretty cool and kinda "typical Irish". There are also many stories in our folklore (and experience) of people eating 'plants'at stone circles and 'seeing' spirals. This happened to me in Belfast of all places (we have some stone circles here even now).
So I was referring to a very heavy psychadelic experience that I am trying to convey through music (but NOT Riverdance ok!!:laugh: )

great stuff EYB.. but i cant get a 'standard' kick in the Kicksynth as yet.. as for the spiralator.. its like magic 
....good fudge comes on slow!!! |
