frequenzy modulation......... Same principle as FM-radios.... Read some!

FM stands for frequency modulation, its a form of sound synthesis

lol.., according to computermusic FM is modulating the AMPLITUDE of an oscilator by another.,.,
this is AM ,not FM., am is totaly unrelated to fm.,.,
dont belive the crap..,

fm is changing the pitch of one soundsource by another.., that simple.,.,
in case of reason, if you dial in the fm dial, oscilator one will change it's frequency according to how oscilator two moves up and down.,
so when osc 2 rises in it's cycle then osc 1 will rise in pitch., when osc 2 goes down osc 1 will fall in pitch.,
the fm dial controlls how much osc 1 will go up and down in pitch.,.,
you can hear this very clearly if you set osc 2 to a very low pitch.

it's late so it's a bit of a short explanation.,,
