Oh, how I enjoy opening the Fluid Audio packages

Got it this week.

As usual, everything is so beautifully done and wrapped.

The front and back cover artwork, the booklet, that 4 pictures card, everything is Stunning.

And the music, ohh.. the music. Breathtaking, cinematic compositions.

Impressive and enchanting. So much beauty in this album. The kind of beauty that can bring tears to one's eyes.

Thank you Christoph, Dan, and everyone else involved in this.

Cheers !

Thanks for the kind words guys.
I will pass this all on to Christoph as I know he will appreciate it loads just as myself and Jess do.

Also...

Ultimae Records will have a few copies for sale through their shop early next week. Well worth contacting them to make sure you get a copy.

Mine arrived yesterday. And wow.

Beautiful packaging, which goes almost without saying.

But the music! I was surprised. Maybe I didn't really listen to the samples, but I was expected more of a percussionless ambient journey (which would still be good). But this is such a brilliant evolution of the Field Rotation sound. Especially when thinking back to Parallelwelten, which seemed very electronic, to Licht Und Schatten, which introduced some acoustic/classical elements and was certainly more beat-driven, and then the Hibernate release which was mainly drone-y. And now this! Georgeous!

One of the instruments - not sure what it is - reminds me of one of the instruments on Jacasek's Treny (tracks of which i'm sure will sit very cosily with some of these acoustic tales).

Thank you so much Dan and Christoph!

Btw, not wanting to put a dampener on things, but I see that some entrepreneur has it on sale on discogs for € 50... bad form. If you are going to buy it make sure you get it from Ultimae: http://www.ultimae.com/en/distribution/510/index.html

I'm at work now, but I just want to go home and listen to it all day!.!.!.....

Well, it's not if you're a scalper and only buy scarce things (like Super Bowl tickets etc) to sell them at a highly inflated price. (Things that are sold as retail rather than wholesale.) Thereby ensuring that someone who really wants these goods can't buy them for their intended price, but rather at a premium.

Basically, in my opinion, to buy something so limited for the express purpose of making a profit from it, is a low act. It serves no-one and I would say is disrespectful to both the artist and the label in this case. Obviously these people don't care about their fellow humans.

That said, I guess it's a bit different if you buy it and then a few years later decide that you don't want it any more and find that the going rate is higher than what you apid for it. It still doesn't make it fair price, and is opportunistic, but not as bad as intentionally setting out to pervert the system and take advantage of others.

That's my 2 cents on the matter.
