I am a big fan of FLStudio and use it to build all my sounds, but I find its sequencing and automation capabilities too complicated as compared to Live. I have never been happy with any song I have arranged in Fruity. Lives Arrangement View makes to so easy to quickly put together tracks. What I generally do is build all my sounds in Fruity and then export the wav files to Live. In Live, I then adjust my sounds and add effects, ect. I have done this before and it works great.
But I have run into a bit of a problem with my current project because some of my sounds I am building in Fruity rely heavily on the Delay 2 plugin. This plugin is not compatible with Live. My plain was export my sound dry and then add the Delay 2 effect in Live. My only option is to use a slightly less effect delay plugin with Live. So I'm sure if I should do my arrangement in Fruity or Live. |

Can't you run Fruity as a vst? Did you check to see if you could run the Fruity vst in live?

Mubali, Orange, Phobium: Indeed. All good solutions.
When in doubt I like to bounce two versions: One clean and one with the effect set to 100%. Like that you can always mix in the effect later if needed.

indeed, especially if u only render the wet from the effect, and turn off the dry. That's how i do it anyway. |
