Hello,
Ive been using Flstudio without problems, recently ive tried Orion and found out that kick drums, basslines and others sounds more realistic and powerful.I..So the VST s are the same and samples are the same..Whats the difference? People say that there should be no difference. But hell no even a listener could figure it out easily. I wanna keep using flstudio but the sounds are way weak than others.. is there anything that im missing? Anything that i should try?? Thnx

Browchakra don't worry, FL quality is superb

If there is a difference please check the volume with a meter on the channels, i think this could be the reason for the effect u got.

dude its not the volume..its the tone! definitely
u can try it by yourself....create a bassline in flstudio..do not add any fx...and do it in orion or cubase...you will see the bassline is more realistic and dont need to add more fx channels....
it feels like flstudio is giving more digital sound instead of analog feeling. that you have to tweak....
im guessing mixing is slightly different...i love flstudio but my songs are so weak in fruity...with orion its way powerful.without adding any effects
i gotta find out why! i wanna use fruity =/...
if anyone has an idea please share it with me..if i find something ill post it also....
hey orange why did you say here we go again...do you notice the same problem????
thanx guys

We hear what we expect to hear. It's called the Placebo Effect... that said, there are differences in the audio engines in different applications, but with the kit that most of us use to listen to our productions through, the differences are too small to hear in most cases.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

you guys will see...its definitely strange...
im guessing orions mixing ability way good then flstudio. thats what im hearing now...

u should know that orion uses a softlimiter in the master output ! something that fl or cubase etc dont have!

also fls mixer has the volumes in 75% and not 100% by default this means that a sound in fl will be 25% lower in volume than other apps try to increase the volume and than retest it!

if u google search u will find many forums that other users have done many test to audio engines of many apps and the differences are to small to say that 1 engine is worse or better than the other!
