I sampled something for a lead,and used a sampler in flstudio to midi insert.
Now the problem is:It doesnt care if I put short notes in piano roll,it doesn't care when I press shortly in midi controller,it plays the sample fully till the end,and the sample is long.

How do I make it play only when there is midi signal and not a second more?

Is there now a way to set the sample start and endpoint for the fl sampler without the need to save the sample as a new sample and reload it ?

ctrl+e -> edit your sample in edison
http://flstudio.image-line.com/help/html/chansettings_sampler.htm#Jump_Chansettings_Sampleview
-> set loop (alt+l)

use the drag and drop symbol to drag the the sample back to his channel

or you can use audioclips for drumloops etc. when you dont wanna play the sample like a piano.

Or you can forget about the sampler and use FL directwave. It even comes for free in all FL version nowdays.

hm direct wave,
is there really no way to zoom in the keygroup mapping editor ?

It's so hard to grap those 2 pixel wide handles , especially when you have a high resolution screen ?!

How about drag and drop multiple sames from the fl browser ? I only can select one sample ?           http://facebook.com/ansolas

to open multiple samples at once use the directwave browser . mark multiple samples and use the right mouse button to add or replace.
you can also open a windows explorer with your sample path. then you can use drag and drop to insert samples in directwave.
