First of all,I have this really annoying problem:I don't want to work with edit events, cause I cant see for shit the automations. But when doing automation clip, there are way too much of those.
Is there any way to block automation above some exact point of pattern? When I'm redoing the sequence,I can't remember where to put the automations again.
Second,I'm doing intro in separate project,to save some CPU.How should I export and then import wavs into my main project,to keep maximum sound quality ,and without readjusting again the BPM and all that?
From all the things I lost, that sandwitch cost me most :)

You can right click the automation "point" and copy/paste its value, if thats what you mean?
Not sure about the import but shouldnt BPM remain the same when you render? :S

1º. If i got it right, you don't like to work with the edit events window because if you automate too much stuff, you loose track of your own automations.. and you also want some "automations" to stop "automate" in an exact moment defined by you.. Did i got it right? If i did i can tell you this: In order to avoid loosing your automations if you want to recreate them for another sequence is to duplicate your pattern, this way, your automation (mixer plugs, channel settings, etc...) will do the same thing, because you duplicated the whole pattern (maybe you want more info, but you have to be a bit more crystal about your question mate). Also if you can't remember or you just can't find out where you have your automations.. Well, you can write them down on a piece of paper i guess
2º. That's actually a nice ideia you have there, to save cpu by doing your intros in a different project (It has its downsides too). The best way to transport as much quality as you can is to go up to the max of the bitrate - Put it at 450 Kbit. And to avoid wrong bpm's between intro and tune just turn your intro project to the same bpm as the tune is. Simple.
Hope this helps you.

Thanks ,dude...
In first question,I ment this:There is some option in Cubase for example, where you tie down automation clip to an exact location, and when you move the pattern, the automation moves together with it.I was wondering if there is something like that in flstudio.
I know that "edit events" moves together with the pattern, but I hate automations that I can't see on screen.
2)My mistake,by accident I loaded the rendered part into midi channel, inside sampler (instead of audio channel. It fucked my BPM,but its ok now, reloaded it into audio track .

Well about the fact that you can't see all automations on your screen you are indeed right on, you can't, you have to remember.. Besides, those knobs when automated dance on their own, so, to see if you have automations in that knob, just play the pattern/song and see if it dances

I think i'm still missing something, but i can see both automations and "edit events" on my playlist. :S
I don't think you can tie down the clip with some pattern, though i'll be glad if someone correts me

edit your automations in the piano roll.. then in the piano roll from the drop down menu next to the velocity bars you can choose wich automation to edit at anytime plus all your automatios will remain within the selected pattern.
for the second question you can just export using the split mixer track option in the export window.. this will export seperate wave file or mp3 files or both with all your sounds ready to be loaded in the main project

Yes,thats what I do now,but this is very inconvinient for creativity-if I want to rearange,I need to remember and check all the automations I did-instead of instantly see what goes where like in Cubase, and this is boring shit.
Well, thanks guys....Damn,I wish imageline would make automation more like in Cubase or Ableton.Guess its time to start learning another DAW...

well fl studio has layering since version 9.7 beta or so. the newest stable, 10, has it. also you can just drag the automations on top of your patterns so they're basically in the same place. |

I saw this topic so i decided to don't open a new one!
So i have a question about...
I want to tell me if is it possible to load audio samples in fl studio (loops or just one shot synth ex) and then change these loops and synchronize to my bpm project!
for example i have a loop that is 140 bpm and i want to load it to my project that is 125 bpm...
What should i do for that and how?
Thanks a lot in advance! I will apreciate it!
  ...into the wild.... |

There is a time knob in sampler, when you turn it,it shows new BPM up there in clue box.
If I'm not mistaken..Check this out and tell if it worked.

Right click on the sample and choose one of the following:
open in new fruity slicer
open in new slicex channel
open in new sampler
just drag it in the playlist if you want to use it as audio
If you load it in a slicer then it auto matches the bpm.
Else you have to use the time knob on the timestretching region of the sampler. Just right click on it and choose its length (1 beat, 2 beats, 1 bar and so on).
Lots of ways to do it, see what suits you best.
Cheers!
edit: Forgot to mention, if you use the sampler's built in timestretch function change the timestretching method from resample to one of the others in the drop down list e.g. pro default.
