yeah bro nice one ! i agree with some things ,yeah what is the use of cranking stuff up and get lost in loudness ! i think its better for your spirit and mind , lately i produce my tracks on a lower volume and notice that i use less compression on some sounds , what normaly has to be done on a loud level ,i feel more calmer when i produce now ! And logical is that when you are in year teenage periods you want to have it louder because your mood is exploring the borders . and when we get older we want more softer levels , fuck i getting old ( ha,ha) but i do think if we lower our levels we create more space ,but thats my opinion Namaste bro |

its a cool video
thanks for the info and some nice concepts there between the lines
so is it going to be an international standart ? but like on open air events they are gonna bring down the insane loudness aswell ?
And @ Babaluma: Where do you clip and where do you over-limit ??? What is the number ???

well over limiting is clipping basicaly(depends on what you mean)
exactly what said in the video
he said like :"New producers think " oh, ok i'm at 0db thats ok" ".
so -1DBFS = -1LUFS but on 0lufs you are safer then on 0dbfs
if i get that right cause you are -23lufs by default on that system....
hmmmm people will think i'm not loud enough cause they have crappy systems that even if pushed to maximum are barely heard and those hifi systems are everywhere. its not loud enough on shit systems like small headphones. So sometimes you don't even care its clipping at least you hear something and thats the majority of listeners in my humble opinion. So that problem is really ignored in this video. He said we need new ways to get attention. BUT lets say i wanna hear music at work and its very noisy or at open air and my speakers are not strong enough. I struggle just to have atleast SOME audible sound out those weak speakers. So thats the true trouble and the benefits of freaking overlimiting the hell out of it.

for example i played these stuff at work
Louis Armstrong and you just don't hear it near the machinery working. You cant its not loud enough and the speakers are at maximum they just don't have enough.
I put on some nice usual psytrance john fleming i think it was or some va don't know what it was the most generic VA you can think of would fi.
Nothing... you just barely hear it and its not enjoyable at all.
I decided i go for ripping the hell out of it. Put on CPC - Violence . And it was louder then the machinery so i had to acutaly keep it down. But the thing is i actualy could hear something out of that speaker.
So that is some example for loudness and sound.
People deal with that in headphones and PC speakers and airplanes you can't just push the volume knob more. You don't have that option.
