It may be corrupted, or some plugin caused an error while opening.
this has to be the nicest fucking message ever! i've been working on this one track for a couple months now and went to save it after adding some new stuff, and i got some access error in FL. when i closed, it asked if i wanted to save so i hit yes. lo and behold i go to reopen the project and see this crap. i've restarted and no change.
i've read about using a hex editor to change the project files headers and tried that, it worked about 10% in that i've recovered my percussion patterns, bass patches, and kick. beyond that everything else is still gone.
has anyone experienced this and recovered fully? i'm going to be one sad camper if this track is lost.
this is about all i have to remember the track by:

RIP unless someone's good at resurrection! |

if you are leagal user and saved it as ZIP you can ask Image-Line
if not then its pritty much gone as far i can tell
for future always save in zip and "save new version" or "save as" evrytime something major has changed.

I learned my lesson the hard way as well//save many versions as you go along, they don't take very much room. Good luck I hope you get it working again...

happy to hear it worked for you
my reccomend is alot to save it as new file yes but i like to save it in zip format once its more then 50% done.. this way even if my other hardisk with all the samples is dead they are still in that zipped loop package
