when i start my fruity 3 (full), and start working on patterns, in a certain point it gets stuck. only when im on the playlist playing a pattern in song mode does it not choke.
i have win 2000 pro on NT, pentium III 1000 HZ, 256 ram, 30 gigs on HD.
also, on cuebase, when i start it, it asks for a mystery key file, which i found, copied to the proper folder and it STILL gives me hassle! |

i can't say anything about FL ...sounds like a FL bug, try looking in their public forums. and cubase ... looks like a bad installation: are you sure you've read the .nfo file properly ? (these prefs keys usually need registry modifications, and the installer is supposed to make them... or the .nfo file has the exact info)
btw ... maybe you restored registry lately. or installed cubase as regular user (not as administrator)

About FL3, it's not a bug... You have to loop on each Patern on Loop List i know it's sux but you can't do anythink about this. Because that i don't like to work whith FL3 |

About the Mystery key, i think its Pro-5's or model-E's key (or another Native instruments plug-in). You should run the plug-in with a CD in your CD-ROM (assuming you have a full version), or re-install the plug-in and choose to copy the key to the HD.
BTW - To find out which prog uses this key, search for a pretty large file named mystery in the program folder (not the folder you installed the program to, but the folder that you installed from - Your CD-ROM for example).
Good luck Tom |

With a computer like that I'd move to cubase or logic NOW, since they are just more powerful and support VST plugins much better (FL3 still has loads of bugs there).
Well, as for cubase, move to logic then. I think it's a nicer program (after a nice demonstration... thank you philip!) |

anyway, if you want to stick to FL3, you should check this link, thoroughly: http://www.fruityloops.com/help/ and go to troubleshooting etc. etc.
p.s. if you're not very familiar with this document - store it locally (make it availible for offline browsing)
