hmmm , can u explain how excactly u manage that with midi - through?
I know how to set device ids at my synths and so , but how do u connect them excactly and how do u communicate with them over fl and all that? |

phewww... it's very easy... plug them all, in the synths select wich parts respond to wich channel, and in frutty open a midi channel, select the port and the midi channel in the cannel config.
in the general midi settings make sure the ports are set too...
channel wise... make sure the synths in the same midi cable arent using the midi channel (unless you want layers)

Ha, and what if i need 16 channels for the virus running in multimode... from wheredo i get the 4 channels for the nordrack?
And when i want to automate the nordrack by tweakin it and record my tweaks - where do i send those midi signals to?

if you're using the 16 channels in the virus you'll need to use another port...
but then.. youre spoiled if you have a nord and a virus... send one of them to me 
getting sutff in is trickyer in frutty because you only have on input port to configure... that way you can only input stuff from both the synths with a midi mixer (or a very clever midi patching scheme wich wouldnt allow to use 16 channels in any of the ports...)

i see, much gear , much trouble....
I think about selling the nord and the virus to get a virus ti....
But i think when the ti is out and everyone uses it , everything will sound the same.
Maybe i will not buy a ti and keep the gear i have - even if it means more trouble....

TI is cool... is it already shipping? i don't like the computers depence it has...
i like nords... don't ask me why... but i'm getting too lazy to use external stuff...
mostly i'm getting away with synth 1, vanguard and vstation... maybe i'll think again about external hardware when i start preparing a live act...
external gear is cool to use when you are learning how to make patches... after that software suits you fine

yesss , hardware is certainly more effort....
I think i would use software too , but my overall impression is that hardware is more for "making" music , while software points more to "programming" music...
But this TI - its not shipping yet , i live about 50 miles away from the principal office of access-music - would be cool.
But one can´t get the simple and hard sounds the nord makes out of the ti.....
I have had a microwave and i sold it because it took too much time to get the patches i want from it.....
But anyhow , wavetable is fine - thats for sure....
Who needs Hypersaw Gearporno bullshit .... ;-)
I will wait till the hype calms a little and then think about it again ;-)

i got a microwave 2... i like the sounds i get from it alot but ain't using it much... even with software to create the patches it's... slow...
yeah... with a good interface (like a real knoby synth) with can crate stuff more like "live music"...
and yes... the nord is cool... i've been using synth 1 because it is a lot alike the nord... but i'm sure the sound cant really compare... i tested the 3 once and really fell in love with it..
but i've promise myself not to buy more synths until i start using the ones i already have again
