Namaste,

Does anyone here use FL-Studio and could make a basic psytrance guideline track, to show how to make a phat bass-line and basic arrangement with a flp to download?

Nothing good comes out of that.. i mean thats just lazy and foolish.
hard work is the only true way and i think most people agree with me on that..

You have tons of information here how to get on with it... if thats not enough maybe you are not motivated enough to do it?
so, do you want someone else to make your music or do you want to do it your self?

cheers... dont take me the wrong way! but its the work you put in to learn things that bring you somewhere...

but maybe you are joking?

Thank you for the reply Axis, the Fl_Template_2 is close in terms of using VB1 and having that sound, yet with no side-chaining.

Still looking for a native FL bass-line synth, though have made quite a few presets still looking for someone who really knows what they are doing, to show in a template.           www.wizanda.com www.soundcloud.com/wizanda

try the Sytrus preset synth 2 under the bass category..Its not VB-1 like but its a nice punchy bass..Its only downside is it only sounds good in a very limited register. Try it around midi note E3.

Well after much searching around found some good flp examples, yet still planning on making a template for others, once fully understood.

Thanks for the advice with Sytrus, it can make some cool sounds.
Found Thumpin OB_s.syn in someones track which is a bit more punchy.

FL-Studio has progressed allot since them tracks were written and people have more understanding about music design, so all help is appreciated.

Well still trying...
Yet it all sounds too happy, read and watched lots; yet over complicate the tracks and process, so it never sounds like what its meant to....

So please someone share a flp, unless its to complex to make with just Fl plug-ins?           www.wizanda.com www.soundcloud.com/wizanda

Read and watch more.

Too happy? Well use less cheerful intervals... try to get nice groove with monotone bass...

When i first came to this forum i asked for a FL file... i'm glad no one gave it to me... but this days there is enough psytrance flstudio information out there... just search on youtube.

Done lots of searching, reading and less music...
Since you and others have learned to do this the hard way, wouldn't it be nice to help new people, the easier way?

Not asking for someone to write it for us, just want to see if its going in the right direction... Yet with no guidance, keep going backwards checking if it was better or worse, when it could be just 1,2,3 and get on making music instead of theorizing so much, its no fun.           www.wizanda.com www.soundcloud.com/wizanda

Hello mate. Here's an old attempt of mine couple of years ago. You can open it in FL-Studio 8, there are only two vst instruments used, STS-26 Pro and another one I forgot it's name. So the intro to me sounded stupid without sts-26 pro
It's not a good track but maybe you may find something.

P.S. Don't expect people to give their very best works

Thank you, that has the same Dark.wav sample as the Cyanosis Doh one, and helps loads, as get to see what a full arrangement and effects are doing.

why are you spending so much efforts on FL??
if you going to put so much energy into this why not put it into learning a normal software like Ableton Live or Cubase?

FL is just a toy, maybe it will take you some longer time but you will see why eventually, it's very limited...

I know Infected once put their older tracks source files for Schism Tracker on their website and you could download them and see everything they way they done it. I am sure you can still find them over the net. I believe that would cover everything you pretty much need to know about arrangement.           http://soundcloud.com/exkor

Bullshit mate, its not 1999 anymore.
FL is way more developed then u might think it is. check for your self. Its not about that anymore, its about how you are using it.
Sure Ableton and cubase might be more proffesional daws but can pretty much do the same things in all of them, it's about taste rather then brand.
Logic seems to be the most hardcore daw nowdays imo tho.

bOm..
