Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible to apply an effect to all channels except one, in an efficient way.

I've been looking for an answer, without success.

Thank you

if you want a particular fx an all channels than you have to group or your channels.

easier is to use the master channel..           http://www.landmark-recordings.com/

Ok, but how can I apply an effect to the master minus 1 channel.

Let's say I have 8 instruments, but I want my effect on only 7 instruments.

It would be painful to do the same effect on all 7 channels.

Is it possible to group several instruments on 1 channel ?

bounce the instruments you want to wav and apply fx to it, its the easier way of doing it imo

You could either bounce or copy the plugin from one mixer channel to another.
Just click on that little box on the left side of your plugin/fx in the mixer channel and choose "save preset as" and simply drag that to another channel.

Hi,
you can set the outputs of your 7 channels to an other one and apply your effect on it.
read http://flstudio.image-line.com/help/html/effects_trackswindow_iorouting.htm

by simply setting the channels output you want not to be affected to out 1-2
then it does not go to the master but straight to your output, und should be rendered unaffected from the fx you put in the master...           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:

look at the picture here first

http://img.youtube.com/vi/WB0QM-IkqCk/0.jpg

notice the yellow mark at the bottom of the mixer
(usually show up for the master channel if you didnt change it)

so..

now you can turn off the master channel so there is no output at all for the selected channel

now re-route to new channel with the effect you want
(that channel is routed to the master channel)

re do it for all of your channels you want to use the effect for

done
