FL studio Draw Automation curves Via MIDI controller...like cubase

Hello brothers ,
i was curious to know if it is possible to draw automation curves in FL studio through the midi controller?
I've done it on cubase...suppose i assign filter knob from a vst instrument to my midi controller and i tweak it while i write my automation...i can see it drawn in my computer screen whatever i did with the knob...
But somehow im not able to figure out how i can do that on FL...

while you've selected an empty pattern bar, press record and tweak your knob (or more)..
everything will be recorded.

hey bro thanx for the reply...but thts not the thing i asked...
i want to see the automation drawn after recording...i want to see an automation clip drawn after i finish the recording...

Do what piko_apiko eeehmm piko_bianko  described. Then at that pattern -> last tweaked parameter -> edit events -> edit (i think) -> turn into automation clip / don't think there's another way.

even if u find difficulties again, after you record, click once in the new pattern 'box' that will be created and then click again in the clip area (and you'll see it drawn too, and alter it however u like)
just be sure to delete the 'box' from the playlist after that (not the pattern) because it'll be a double trigger.

thanx again a ton for the replies...!
i think its jus me bad luck today ..lol...maybe my version of FL is old(6.0.8 xxl)...cuz wht piko say jus dont happen and same diskonekt....!
@diskonekt...i dont see 'turn into automation clip' in the edit events-->edit.
@piko...after the recording the new pattern box is drawn..if i select it and next i click on the clip section of the playlist..it jus open a browser where it ask me to load a file frm browser..
I'm still tryin tho...hoping to hear frm u guys again..

^^ One way to see the automation as a curve is to click on the plugin menu (Power Plug on the wrapper) and select "Browse Parameters ". Then look for the Parameter you automated, but you have to have the pattern it was recorded in selected.
Another way is to go to the fruity browser and select "Current Project > Automation" and find the pattern and parameter and edit the automation that way.
In FL6 you can't copy this automation data to automation clip but you can in FL8 I think. |

update to the 8.02 version of fl studio! there are a lot of workflow speedups.

so finally i think the problem is with the version..!
