I did my drums in FL and the rest in Cubase.When I play the loop it will skip/miss some of the drum hits in FL but the bass in Cubase plays smoothly.Anybody has/had similar issues?

No, never had those issues...and especially for drums cubase offers so many good ways to work..the drum editor itself, groove agent or this beatmaker plugin..no need to rewire FL imo..           -------......-------...-..-..-..-.-.-.-.-

right, got it sorted.....had to re-activate the rewire setting in Cubase even though my saved project's rewire setting was already activated......then the second issue was when I play a loop of say 8 bars in cycle mode , it will skip the first beat of the loop.....then just change your pattern setting in FL Studio to a bigger setting and then it shud work.....well mine is now!

Only other issue still is that I can only play the two(Cubase/FL) rewired projects in sync while doing it from the Cubase side....if I hit the play while in FL it will only play FL.I remember before rewiring it to Reason without this issue...you can play from both sides and it would sync .Not the end of the world cuz you can work around it but if anybody might have any clarity please share.

Hm..do you have FL set up for sending out MTC or MMC as well?

Dont know about reason, but it could well be that cubase doesn`t let you have control about it from FL side since Cubase always works as Master..same with Logic btw..i think thats not the case with reason..           -------......-------...-..-..-..-.-.-.-.-

@Zork I doubt the MTC or MMC has anything to do with the rewire function especially if I'm not using midi at the moment.
This might just be the answer from the help option in FL :To test the setup, load an existing project in FL Studio or activate several steps in an existing channel and hit the play button in Cubase™. You will hear FL Studio playing synchronized with Cubase™.

Obviously would have said in both if it could......hopefully in the future it would be possible.

cubase is the master.. so hitting play in fl will trigger fl only.

@zork

doing drums in cubase is 20 times slower than fl.
im was a die hard fl user for the last 10 years.. switched to studio one few months ago but still use fl for drums cos its 100 times faster and more inspirational.           http://www.landmark-recordings.com/

@orange......what do you think of Studio One???If you have run Cubase in the past how does it compare?
Do you rewire Studio one to FL or just run them separately?

Apologies,my wrong.....just checked....it comes up under the vst's but wouldnt allow you to choose it.....says Nuendo 2 needed.....something I haven't tried but logically it doesnt really make sense.Anybody had any luck with Nuendo/Cubase 2 to open quadrafuzz in FL or Studio One ????

There is a version of QFuzz that will work outside Cubendo but it's not the one shipped with Steinberg DAWs. Remember also that only the Rewire master application will have access to VST plugins. Transport should be synced between any and all applications Rewired together; from what I read on this thread it seems FL has an incomplete implementation.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering
