Hi guys so here is the deal i click on the recording button and i tweak the vst and vualaa automation but it is recorded on the pattern it self, i would like to record automations from vsts with a automation clip to get more control of it does anyone know how to do it ? i can get automation clips but only from parameters from fl studio it self...

Hmm you want to record the automation in the song view, but they are being recorded in the sequencer view, right?
If I remember this correctly (I was a FruityLoops user so this feature only came way after I quit using it), there is a little tick option you need to activate on the top to make it record to the clip and not on the pattern..
Maybe this? (right click on top of the rec button, unselect record to step sequencer)

There are two main ways how I automate vsts's and generators in FL Studio, one is in the pattern itself, the other is by rightclicking the knob/parameter you want to automate, and then either paint with the mouse or link to controller and automate by fucking with the knob...

I heavily use the automate to a pattern.. what i do is i dedicate specific patterns to store automation info and whn i want to record automation, i go over to that pattern and do the magic.. but this way its hard to manage(very hard) and changing anything is a pain too.. But i seem to work better like this as i hate painting on an automation clip.. this gives me more a natural flow as i automate with the mouse.. but like upavas says those are the two ways u can do it.. just saying that both ways can work pretty good.. also i dont think that there is a way thru which u can automate with your mouse and it will store it on automation clips.. but if do dig some way to do this, plz let me knw,.. cheers
